though she has no right to judge him, she can’t help doing it anyway. he’d told her it would come to this and she’d known when he’d said it that it was the truth. she’d accepted it and still welcomed him, barely a second of hesitation on whether or not she even should. no one ever stuck around for long and at least he was honest from the start. and yet..despite all of that she’s almost disappointed. a part of her had expected they’d get to this point much later or through different circumstances than simply her being able to see through this act he puts on. the truth is he cares a lot more than he lets on and she’s too observant not to see it. ❝it’s always been complicated Ky, that’s not an excuse.❞ whatever they are or had been to each other, it hasn’t ever been simple. if it was then she would know how to define this feeling she has knowing it’s about to end. anger’s close enough and even that wasn’t quite adequate. ❝I knew we’d get here but I didn’t think it’d happen this soon.❞
the warnings were given to soften the blow; he ran as it was easier than facing his feelings and it would keep the both of them save. though, the reality of the matter was that he could have stayed every time. he just ended up choosing to run away — to leave everything behind so he wouldn’t have to face his emotions. sadly, the possibility of actually leaving this time was fading, and far too quickly for his liking. a reason to why he folded both of his arms firmly across his chest,
