He didn’t respond. Not
right away. Instead, he turned to Heimdall, whose eyes were narrowed. The
Gatekeeper saw all, and Thor wanted to know if they could trust this one. He
had lived long enough to know that not all demons were evil and not all ‘heroes’
were noble. What mattered wasn’t his species, but his heart. Did he carry some
dark purpose or was his curiosity more academic? Loki once had more of the
latter as a child.
A curious boy who devoured
information in the library and was eager to learn more about the relics in the
vault. In the end, Loki turned against the Aesir, and he couldn’t blame his
adoptive brother. If a family member could
use that knowledge against them, it would be difficult to judge a stranger’s
character.
Heimdall met his gaze and
subtly shook his head. Whatever the Gatekeeper knew, he wasn’t keen on
divulging. Yet.
“Elaborate. On both weapon and dilemma.”
Thor was usually respectful
of a person’s private life, but when it involved a weapon, he wasn’t as giving. For all he knew, the stranger could be
planning to use the weapon against them, and he wasn’t going to put his people
in danger just to appear friendly.
Nor was he going to step aside until his questions were answered.
❝ Honestly? I don’t even know what i’m looking for. ❞
That much was a lie, Ky’lar knew exactly what he was looking for, but the problem was he didn’t even know if it existed for what he wanted. If it did, there would no doubt be a resolution to this little ‘situation’ he was in, but for now, he would say what was needed, and go on from there.
❝ —— I know that it should exist here, and if it does? I’m willing to do whatever’s needed to obtain it. ❞
Less of starting an incident that no doubt would happen either way —- the moment anyone else found him here would do more than just raise eyebrows. A reason to why he wanted to explain everything later — maybe that way he could at least not seem like someone who just wanted to commit parricide due to what many could call foolish reasons.
❝ Either way, my problem is a bit more complicated than most would think. ❞
A reason to why Ky’lar moved to scratch the back of his neck for a few moments — anything to try to ease him into explaining everything that would no doubt become a bit awkward in the long run.
❝ I need something that will take care of a very powerful demon. Well, with out getting myself bound to some other reality for the next thousand or so years. ❞
