thesoullesshunter:

shrugging a bit as the demon took his thanks and conceded that he merely did what was agreed upon, he went ahead and grabbed the bag in front of him and moved it off of the bed to bring it over to a nearby table. as he’d turn his back on ky’lar he’d only pay half a mind to what he was saying, figuring that their business was just about done. while he hadn’t forgotten that he had yet to make good on his end… he felt pretty secure in that there probably wouldn’t be any sort of rush in trying to make sure he pulled his weight.

but then, of course, that was where he was mistaken. at least, that seemed to be the case whenever the demon made mention of the fact that he hadn’t done anything to assist him out. not yet, anyway.

blinking once, the hunter would stop what he was doing for a moment before glancing over his shoulder and arching his brows expectantly. ❝ you looking for a favor? ❞ while the delivery of his words were quite sharp, he wasn’t coming onto the guy with any sort of hostility. after all, ky’lar had done him a solid; it was only fair that he did one in return. that was just good business.

“I wouldn’t exactly call it that.” His lips pursed into a thin-line, “A favor would mean that you are doing this due to the fact you owe me. Of course, in this, it’s more that I own you —- don’t think of it as a bad thing, but I can’t be anywhere. Most, they would complain if they were pushed forth with the idea they had to do something that could be… problematic.”

There was a shrug of his shoulders, “I simply need someone who’s willing to take out a few targets…. with my name not attached. ” It wasn’t more that he needed him, but rather, it was more that he was willing to put forth the idea of using the other’s soul against him if the time came to it.

“Once that’s done, we will see where our little partnership goes from there, won’t we?”
