❛If that were true…you would not be FAVORING your side like you are. ❜
Magneto’s words were CLIPPED. He knew what he was doing when he sent Ky’lar on this mission. His earlier STATEMENT came only because he had tried to talk him out of it, tried to make it so SOMEONE ELSE could go, but Ky was too STUBBORN and Magneto just needed to get USED to it.
❛ I’m not your superior, Ky’lar. You’re here by CHOICE. You always have been…but I’d PREFER if you didn’t try to get yourself KILLED at every turn. These are DANGEROUS times. ❜
And he’d OWN UP to that. Perhaps there was somewhat of a GRUDGE there. Magneto had acted in HASTE, releasing Blackheart from his psychological prison.
The world could PAY for it. Already there was some EVIDENCE leading to the END OF DAYS. This was after all the FOURTH night in a row with a LUNAR ECLIPSE.
If there was a real CHOICE to be had, it would have been to LEAVE the BROTHERHOOD, and never turn BACK.
That would have been an EASIER way to go about things; take off before he got too COMFORTABLE and ultimately lost PERSPECTIVE.
He wasn’t a MUTANT and he would EVENTUALLY over stay his WELCOME. It was an ASSUMPTION that Ky’lar saw as FACT.
❛ I’m FINE! ❜
The words came out with ANGER and ANNOYANCE. It wasn’t the TRUTH, wasn’t it in the SLIGHTEST, but it was ALL that he was WILLING to get out.
❛ I’ve survivedWORSE ❜
The end of days didn’t SCARE him, but his FATHER did, and whatever was happening was due to HIM. It should have been far more than OBVIOUS this was a ploy to get him to do something DRASTIC.
And he wasn’t going to TAKE the bait.
❛ Nor does DEATH frighten me. Not when the other OPTIONS are far worse. ❜
