At his question, Jo’s eyes shifted towards the ground. She was unable to look at him as she rolled his question over in her mind. She often found herself struggling to face herself in the mirror but she merely told herself it was because she felt as if she failed. As if she failed every single person she hadn’t been able to save. Jo swallowed hard as her eyes finally met his.

“Why are you doing this?” She asked in return not ready to answer his question yet. “Why does it matter?”

It didn’t matter. It never mattered to anyone. It was the prime reason that Ky’lar despised everyone else. They were all too fed up with their own problems to worry about a rich kid with anger issues.

It was to that very reason that he caused his eyes to roll at her words. It had been the same thing he heard several times over, “It doesn’t matter. That’s the point isn’t it? Human, Demon, or whatever else in-between. It always never matters. Not to many at any-rate…. they just don’t seem to care.”
