It was the only moment some of his humanity broke through. A false moment, a moment of actual caring for another human being, and it faded just as quickly as it arose. After-all, who was he to help another? It was an idiotic moment that shouldn’t have happened.
To that very reason, he moved to yank his hands back from her, and increase the distance between the both of them. “If you were fine, I wouldn’t be here, but suit yourself. I don’t care.”
