
if he was being honest with himself, he didn’t believe the other’s words one bit. his father was and would always be BETTER than him. not to mention ky’lar KNEW that he wasn’t getting anything — not unless his attitude changed, and that in itself was a process he still trying to GRASP.
at any-rate, he WASN’T going to put too much WEIGHT into his grandfather’s words. not when he wasn’t sure WHY the other was saying it; test, jest, or otherwise… he wasn’t going to let himself DWELL on it.
