Forcing herself to breathe evenly, pistol extended, finger a heartbeat away from the trigger, Maggie clears another room of the seemingly abandoned building. There shouldn’t be anyone about and it’s good practice, giving her time to think and breathe, practice technique alone. Or so she thinks. As she enters another room, there’s a man standing there, one she doesn’t recognize – which shouldn’t be a surprise in the least. Pistol drops to her side automaticly, reaction to seeing someone she viewed at a civilian. ❝ Apologies… Thought I was alone out here. ❞
ABANDONED buildings were easy to hide in. they were rarely checked on, there were usually homeless inside of them, and the general law enforcement never came into check them out. it was the PRIMARY reason to why he was here; to actually work in PEACE outside of his hotel room. the only thing he DIDN’T directly expect was for anyone else to be there — something that he could FIX… if given the proper chance, ❝ you would be, ❞ he said, ❝ on usual days. ❞ then again, this was a day that was far from usual ( at least by his standards ), ❝ no one comes around here… not too often at least. ❞
