he should have expected some kind of retaliation, it was simply the demon’s nature. the force however knocks the breath out of dean for a minute. gathering his resolve once more, haziness in his mind not quite fading due to the alcohol, dean gets to his feet with minimal struggle.

yeah? my fucking attitude? when you’re over there like you don’t have a care in the goddamn world?  there’s quite a difference in their volumes. while dean wasn’t quite yelling, it wasn’t what one would consider a inside voice. he grabs the nearest object a book, boring in all aspects honestly but heavy and gets ready to throw it as well at the demon. it’s like you don’t even care to what happens around you.

he waits to charge at the demon until after he throws the book. at least hopefully they’d be distracted then.

it was true, ky didn’t care what went on around him as long as he was on top. that way, he could pull all the strings, and no one could control him. it was the prime reason to why he scoffed.

dean still couldn’t see the big picture to all of this — to break down the foundations of everything and start a new. he couldn’t see anything, but for now, there was no time for explanations.

rather, all dean wanted was a fight, and ky would give it to him.

a low growl escaped the demon’s lips as the book was thrown at him. shortly after, dean had managed to pin him to a desk. it was nothing that he couldn’t get out of. if ky was being honest with himself, he had the other right where he wanted him, but there was no time for that.

this wasn’t just something they could get over. someone needed to be reminded of where they stood and right now? ky was willing to do this with out dean. at least for the time being.

“maybe you forget, dean. i don’t need you.” harsher words than he expected, but he needed the other. more than he thought he did, a reason to why he wasn’t going to send him flying back. no, not when he wasn’t in the mood to murder the other for the moment, “you’re just a human. one who needs to decide if they are in or out ‘cus this happening with… or with out you.”
