“I’m sure. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that demons were once human too. They love to be blasé, pretend they have no emotions. But they do. Anger is just intensified.” At least, that’s the way that Ellen saw it. “I imagine they have more creative forms of punishment than are inflicted on prisoners of war.”

“demons are complicated.” he could have gone on; explained about why they were complicated, but instead, ky didn’t, “most forget what they were before. it’s easier that way. other’s, they were as bad in life, and being a demon was more suiting for them.” he could count on the number of hands of demons he met who knew they were human once. it was pretty low.

either way, a deep sigh escaped his lips, “their punishments are worse than the one’s they had during the second world war.” ky rubbed at his chin for a few moments, “you learn to torture and forget. that’s the point of it. god’s creations twisted and turned into monsters. except for me. i was a monster at birth.”
