     at this point, she had begun to consider putting a tracking beacon on ky’lar. one that would alert her each time he found himself surrounded by hunters. too bad the technology didn’t exist yet. perhaps she could consult with a witch one of these days. no doubt someone had to have something close to a solution for this seemingly unending issue. 

      ky’lar james richardson, what the fuck have you done now? though she can’t know for certain what he has done, she can already feel the supernatural energy not far off. whatever he did, there seemed to be a world of trouble heading straight for the both of them.  you need to tell me this instant. i can’t prepare for a storm half blind. what kind of trouble did you get yourself into this time? what is coming for us?

    ky knew he shouldn’t have gone that far. more to the point, he shouldn’t have even thought about the simple action, but it was all too tempting to simply let the opportunity pass by. no, he took it, and now would have to suffer the consequences of his actions. 

   of course, it wasn’t until his mother said his full name that everything started to feel real. more to the point, ky knew that there would be actual consequences to his actions, and that it involved more than just himself. he had dragged it down on everyone around him… including her.

   ‘ the apocalypse, ’ he said bluntly. ‘ a version of it at least, happy? ’
