Marrick was more than 90% sure that the other pretended not to fear anyone. To keep his own sanity or pretend he was something more than he should be. Either way Marrick wouldn’t be surprised if Ky’lar simply pretended that he didn’t fear Lucifer. Something Marrick doubted as even those in Lucifer’s inner circle feared him, it was the healthier option and something he knew a lot did despite how many times they simply said they didn’t. there wasn’t much the demon truly feared. sure, he once feared lucifer, but now he didn’t. well, it wasn’t exactly correct, he feared the archangel, but not where it actually mattered. more like ky feared him, but it was the same fear he had around anyone — at any moment someone could try to kill him. he just didn’t tend to care too much about lucifer as there was a slight about of doubt the other would actually do such a thing to hurt him… at least fatally.
“i’m not a brat. I just get what i want.” if that happened to involve going against explicit orders? so be it… not like it mattered anyways to him. a reason to why he didn’t start towards the door after the hound moved. instead, he just folded his arms over his chest with a grunt. “so, how many between me and him?”
