“My brother tells me you are in
search of a relic.”
It wasn’t every day that
Thor brought him someone who was looking for something they had within the
vault. It wasn’t every day that someone was brought to him period, so he had agreed to meet with this stranger. It was a nice
reprieve from watching the trainees trip each other up and make complete idiots
of themselves. While his brother warned him not to trust the man, Loki thought
that he should decide for himself. Even now, he could sense that there was
something different in the other. A darker aura, certainly, but there were many races in the multiverse that had
similar auras.
Well. It was a mystery that
would solve itself in time.
“And what would you expect this
relic to do?”
“think of it more as a means to an end.”
he already was on uneasy footing with everyone here. his arrival had been… difficult at best. most of his connections had been extinguished just to arrive here and it would take decades to regain what he had previously. that was if such a thing was possible, but there was always a slight amount of hope. even if it was just a very small possibility of such a thing happening.
still, he was at least playing ‘nice’ here, and that meant he couldn’t pull his usual betrayal at the first possible moment. no, he would wait till the third… or maybe the forth possible moment to do so. that way, he could build some what of a general feeling of trust, and any uneasiness could fade away – making his actions far worse than they would have been before. even more so if they were… unexpected.
“among other things,” he said, hands sliding into his pockets. “it should take care of a problem; if not permanently… at least for thousand years or so.” maybe a bit longer if he was lucky, but even getting his father out of his hair for a short amount of time would suffice. “killing them would be the best course of action, but if not? i’m open to… other options as well.”
