halfgraced:

“Interested in me,” Jack finished. This demon— or whoever he was— certainly wasn’t the first supernatural being who’d been interested in him, and he probably wasn’t going to be the last. Really, though, Jack didn’t want anything to do with any of them; not when they hurt people. Both Heaven and Hell could leave him alone, as far as he was concerned. “I thought you’d be here because of Asmodeus,” he said, still not letting his guard down. “He wanted me to open some sort of door for him, but I won’t do it. I won’t.

“i don’t serve mr. friend chicken.” then again, he doubted anyone would want to serve asmodeous. ky might have held a title, but he wasn’t going to get involved in hell’s affairs. not these days at least. “nor do i care about opening doors. if i wanted a door open, i can do it myself.” or use a few demons to open it for him. “or just wait until the time was right.”

then again, he doubted the time would ever be right, and it was to that reason he decided to change the track of the conversation. well, at least as best as possible. “so, besides that,” he continued on, “consider myself at your… disposal.“ a shrug. “ more or less or at least until things are settled down back home.”
