If quizzed on why he acted in Ky’s best interests, silence would serve as his answer. It was in his nature to protect those who couldn’t defend themselves– and the half-demon did not so much as fall within a few hundred yards of being classed as such a person. It was within his remit to let the male solve this matter by himself, deal with the consequences of taking a life and remove the evidence in all of its unabridged, gory detail. What he did could be seen as rapidly expediting this process, leaving valuable lessons go unlearned.
But where practical experience was lost, a verbal drumming is the prize that assails the man instead. “See that you don’t, son of Blackheart.” Thor’s words, though infused with the worldly patience of someone well adjusted to that reckless infirmity that all inferior beings not of divine spring were susceptible to, bore a jaded score; these moments were increasing in frequency. And each and every time, his tolerance towards Ky’s uncontrollable instincts wore increasingly thin.
“I know that you are capable of handling your own messes, but I insist you hunt prey other than your own kind, should terrible needs grow beyond your control to suppress.” It wouldn’t attract any fans, but Thor could send Ky to other worlds for which his blood-lusting appetites would be better suited. “You need only to ask for my help and I will see to it that trouble like this can be avoided in its entirety.”
“i don’t consider humans my kind.” he wouldn’t even consider his own family his kind. not on most days at least. true, ky may have been part human, but he always leaned towards his much more darker, and violent tendencies.
sometimes he could control himself. though, usually he couldn’t – when that happened the bodies started dropping. especially if that itch under his skin got to the point where he couldn’t ignore it.
still, he had a choice to stop himself; to simply say no to the urges. the only problem was giving in was easier – far easier than simply stopping himself. a reason to why he usually had blood on his hands. especially these days.
“besides, i doubt someone like yourself would help me.” maybe not exactly the truth, but even ky knew not to doubt thor – not entirely at least. “nor will i ask for it.” as much as he may have needed it… ky wouldn’t lower himself into asking a god for help. especially one like thor.
