Ruby never expected demons to be fair for shit, but considering what she had done by getting Lucifer out of the cage, she felt as though she deserved some respect, even from the ones that were apparently stealing thrones down under. And by fair she meant by staying the hell away she could continue doing just that. 

“I don’t work for anyone. Royalty or nobility…not for the humans, not for the angels. Ask someone else,” she told him, but bit her lip. Being respectful would hopefully thwart any potential anger for refusing a job.

even if she didn’t, ky wasn’t above dragging her back to hell with-out even a second thought. if that was what it took, he’d do it with out thinking of the consequences, but then again, he didn’t want things to go that far. no, he’d rephrase what he wanted, and then go from there.

“you may say no know, but none of us can avoid hell forever. in-fact,” he continued on. “if you do this job for me… i can assure you that you’ll never end up back there.” at least if everything went according to plan.
