“ —– of course it MATTERS –” Her nose wrinkles, and she huffs at him gently, lips pressing into a line as she falls into silence. Watching him quietly, she quickly shakes her head, diverting her gaze to her hands as she tries to come up with anything else to say. “I just don’t – sometimes I don’t understand why you stay here like this –” For the house, obviously. There was more than enough reason for him to stay close, but she hated considering that option. “that’s all …”

“–for you.” a lie if he ever told one. the house was one reason he stayed here, but not the real one. he could end the world here – just needed to take a few items and use them. truth be told, he thought about starting the process already; making use of what he had here to start the apocalypse. the only problem was… he didn’t want to do anything out of haste. no – he had time to create a firm plan – a plan that wouldn’t be interrupted by her ( if he had a say in it ). “i stick around for you.”
