“invited.” well, that sounded like a crock of shit. lips press into something akin to a smile, but the kind that masks an apparently building rage. “right. and i’m sure you’re only sticking around to make sure she’s okay.” god, this is what he gets for not raising her himself. “listen, i think it’s probably time you leave.”

        “we have a… connection.” it sounded like a corny line out of an old tv series, but quite honestly? he didn’t feel like rephrasing what he said. not at all. “if i leave, she’ll get worried, and that’s the last thing she needs right now.” of course, he was free to leave at any-time… he just stayed due to the fact the house had everything he needed… and then some. “then again… let’s just say the real reason i’m sticking around is quite obvious.” a pause, grin spreading across his lips. “isn’t it?”
