Ethan pursed his lips in partial thought, actually considering the offer given to him by the other. Was he crazy to ponder proposal? Perhaps, as he couldn’t trust that the man wouldn’t attempt to go back on his ‘word’ and attempt to kill him once more – he couldn’t take the chance that the next time he would succeed. “Come now, where is the harm in sharing your ideas with me? To perform your tasks to the best of my ability, I must have information on what I will be doing, yes? And it is common courtesy to exchange names, is it not? I would assume that you know mine already, if you are as intelligent as I presume you are.”
“Your kind are like leaches,” he said, not even bothering to hold his tongue in place. “You need blood to survive and with out it… you turn rabid.” Maybe that wasn’t entirely the case, but he sure thought it was. “I’m simply offering you a chance to prove you’re not like the rest.” Even if Ky’s mind was made up already, but that was another point entirely. “Of course, I doubt you’ll even be able to last a day – maybe two tops.”
Ky never was optimistic, even when he was more or less human, but that didn’t mean he could fake it. He could, but where would the fun in it be? Not to mention his hatred for Vampires always managed to show through ( one way or another ). “Either way? You can call me Ky’lar.”
