Nostrils flare and Peter keeps his eyes on the other, hands still on his hips. “Why didn’t you just leave me?” It’s something that’s been bothering him. He knows what the other man said, that he needed his help but it’s also quite peculiar. Even with the mask gone he still had no real idea who he was. He rolls his eyes at the pun, shoulders dropping and he leans back just a little, is far more relaxed at the moment. There’s still too much sensory input and it’s hard for him to focus, to not get distracted by the light seeping in through the window despite the curtain.
“I wouldn’t have died if you left me, and I don’t believe that you’re going to try and kill me.” Large brown eyes stare back at Ky, “You haven’t even told me what it is that you’re wanting me to get or why.”
“I wouldn’t put your hopes too high in that regard.” That much was clear as Ky took a step forward. “You see, I might not want you dead for the moment, but that can change.” More importantly, if Ky didn’t get his way, he would be forced to dispose of the other. However, for the time being, he was giving Peter the benefit of the doubt. though, for how long that would last… was uncertain. Even to him.
“—All you need to know is that it’s a game changer for me.” It wasn’t the truth or a lie, but it would change things. At least, Ky thought it would. “And that it’s the first of several tasks i’ll have for… someone like you.” Not to say that he couldn’t have obtained what he wanted himself as it was quite obvious he could have, but he was hoping he could somehow get Peter to do this for him. Even if he had to resort to a few…dislikable actions.
