“There is always hope.”

at one time, ky may have believed the other’s words, but the problem was that he saw no use in believing in something as simple as a desire for an outcome. hope was a fools game. it could make or break a man – a reason to why he relied on facts. twisted as they may be… they gave him confidence; a tad better than hope.

“yeah, well,” he said, hands sliding into his back pockets, “i don’t deal in hope.”
