bobby was right – he was just a boy trying to be something more. by human standards he was an adult, but by demon? still a child. a child who was just starting to understand who they were and that was all that mattered.
for as long as he lived, he’d still be a child; not until most of the people he knew were long gone. a reason to why he didn’t want to accept reality. he wanted to prove he was more – well, more than what he was, and could be worthy of obtaining a throne or even the throne of hell in time.
of course, he was a long ways off from that; he couldn’t even hold his own against bobby. how was he going to take on the best of demons? luck was one thing… this was another. a reason to why instead of getting angry – this time – his emotions shifted to an icy hot.

“this boy,” he said, taking a step forward, “can do things you can scarcely imagine.” or maybe bobby did know what he was capable of. either way, he didn’t care – not really at least. all that mattered was getting his point across. “and when the time comes… i’m quite certain we will have loads of fun down stairs – my treat.”
