Would this guy ever quit? Brock doubts he would, and almost considers sighing in resignation as a result. “An agreement? Fine, here’s one for ya; how about you leave me the hell alone, and go about your business bothering some other poor schmuck, okay?” Eyebrows raising as he spoke, he makes no effort to hide the sarcastic lilt to his words, a natural edition for him to make after running afoul of some pesky nuisance he struggled to shake off.
          “Now, show me that you can listen, and scam.”

_{He had thought giving Eddie offers would have helped his case and maybe would have brought him a step closer towards what he wanted. He thought that with a little more pressure (than he already gave) he could have everything lined up, but it seemed like he over reached. So, he had to try another method – one that was  just a bit more painful over-all.
