❛ oh, yeah. BEST BUDDIES. ❜ the sarcasm drips from his words, and yet
his eyes remained narrowed into slits. it does not go unnoticed that the man had
not answered his question of how he knew his name. still, despite the alarm
bells grant’s suspicions should have alerted in his system, curiously enough,
he’s still there. he’s still sitting across the stranger, not even knowing the
man’s name, and still humoring this ridiculous idea of a supervillain team.
to be honest, the
idea doesn’t sound too absurd, if he only thought about it for real. after all,
SHIELD had sold him back to his brother, and even after he’d tried to give them
treats ——— in the form of hydra agents he leaves on their doorstep
——— SHIELD still left him bleeding out on the floor of that collapsing
building in puerto rico. time and again, he has asked for a second chance, a
second chance that coulson had been very generous to give other people ( akela amador ; even mike peterson, and mike’s
was three chances ) but could never give him. still, he’s the
bad guy, he’s the villain of their story.
quite frankly, he’s
getting tired of trying to prove them wrong.
❛ don’t think i
don’t notice you’re not telling me how you know me. and that you’re not telling
me your name either, but whatever. i’m
past the point of caring at this point. so, tell me instead, what have you got with
this plan of yours ?? who do you have on board so far, and what are
you planning to do once you’ve got your super villain group ?? ❜
a light chuckle escaped his lips as ward finished speaking. ky had to admit that he liked him; so many questions and getting to the finer points of the conversation without having to muddle through small talk. in some ways, he could say it was commendable, but in others? well, it was directly the opposite of sorts.
❛ everything will be known in time. ❜ admitting patience was needed was one thing, but blandly admitting the obvious was another entirely. while it was rare when both were needed at the same time, ky knew how to take things in strides. even if that was the last thing he needed to do entirely.
❛ you could say i’m a friend, but if we’re going to be spending time together…❜ he trailed off for several moments. saying who he was – the entirety – of it wasn’t needed. however, there was no shame in admitting his name was there? no, he didn’t think there was. not truly.
❛ it’s ky’lar. you should know that at least. ❜ well, it wasn’t everything ward needed to know, but he’d get around to it in time. all he had to do was build up to it and maybe one day he’d let ward know everything. for now? well he was just going to start with the basics. ❛ and among other things, i believe this little… group of mine has some potential. ❜ it may not have been a established plan of sorts, but he’d make one eventually; what was better on day’s that ended with the letter ‘y’ than murder? nothing in his mind.
❛ the type that may -if properly motivated- could take on just about anyone. ❜ he left out the part about funding, his family money, and how getting other’s to join would prove to be quiet challenging. no, he’d try to sell himself as best as possible. then he’d go from there. it was the only thing he could do in this situation.
well, besides bribing them with assurances and bags of cash.
❛ all my little… team lacks so far is you. ❜ was it a stretch? maybe it was to admit something that bold this soon. or maybe it wasn’t – either way, he wasn’t about to correct himself. not now. not when all he needed was another man or… rather anyone to help – no assist with his plans. besides… a team wasn’t a team if it only had one person. no, it would take more – many more -, but two would do. for now. if he even got that far.
