“And? What if we just take out the weakest link first?”
She knew that Crowley had either forced the more powerful demons into submission, killed them, or forced them into exile much like her. This gave her a pretty good idea of how easy taking out his remaining cronies would be. He didn’t care as much about the power, only mainly about those who were loyal to him. Those who were weak, and lick his shoes if he asked them to. However, they only followed the most powerful, so if Meg did show herself to be more powerful than their so-called king, they would be all over her.
“Or, just show ‘em who’s boss.”
There was an old saying that a leader or even organization was only as strong as it’s weakest member or link as you will. Finding the weakest wouldn’t be too hard, but making sure they were not swarmed was another. Ky may have had power, but he wasn’t going to risk everything when the odds of winning were decently low.
However, a show of power was another thing. Crowley may have had a cult-like following, but even he (he hoped) could appreciate shows like this. With enough pressure and demons gone… maybe he’d come out into the open – it wouldn’t be easy, but if he was alone? Well, maybe they’d have a true chance… maybe.
“We could do both; take out the weakest link and then… put them back in line. If that doesn’t work? Just kill them all.”
