  • NAME: Ky’lar Richardson
ALIAS; Ky, Your friend, Son of Blackheart, Prince of Hell.
    FC’s: Alexander Skarsgard
    AGE: 33
    SPECIES: Half-Breed ( Demon )
    HEIGHT: 6’2’‘

There is much to be said about a child who grew up with money. Some could say they were simply spoiled, Others would admit there was blood money involved, and some would admit they didn’t even deserve it in the first place. It could be possible that all of these claims were true, but in the case of Ky’lar James Richardson… the very reality of truth and reality could be considered up for debate.

Ky’lar was raised by his Grandparents near the city San Francisco, California. Those early years consisted of strict disciple leading up until he was five years old. When he reached that age, he was sent off to the first boarding school, and was promptly kicked out two months later for ‘unexplained’ situations.

Shortly after that incident, they sent him to another boarding school, and the ’unexplained’ situations still occurred. By the time he was ten years old, he’d been to eight boarding schools, and been kicked out due to these… situations.

Finding a school or ‘baby sitter’ as his Caretaker came to call all the schools was a difficult task. Difficult, but not entirely impossible. It took string-pulling – a fair bit of lying and loads of money, but for the rest of his education, and until he was eighteen years of age, Ky’lar went to an elite boarding school in London.

During those years, there was no reports of such incidents at all, but they still occurred. Ky’lar – even though he went under James then – still got into fights and stayed unpredictable. He may have been top of his class, but his mental health record was quite poor – something that was kept under wraps thanks to the enormous grants the Richardson’s gave to the school.

All and all, by the time he had finally finished his schooling, he had the ability to go into any college in the world and had thought about submitting applications to some of the top schools in the United Kingdom.  It would have been easy to get accepted, but Ky’lar chose to head back to the United States to have a face to face conversation with his Grandparents.

While in School, he only saw them in the Summer, and communication was kept to a minimum. The rules -such as not bothering them unless necessary- were always enforced and even his age didn’t change that.

The only thing that changed over the years as his involvement in their parties; secret cult gatherings that disguised themselves as simple parties of the finest people. When Ky’lar turned fifteen, he spent a fair amount of his summer at parties such as that, and every year since then. He may not have done much in talking, but everyone had their eyes on him for some reason or another.

When he arrived, his Grandparents – especially his Grandfather – were quite proud, but any talk of a real discussion was ignored. In-fact, it was pushed aside as non-important, and focused on getting Ky’lar set up in his room.

Adapting to life back in the States was difficult, but not entirely hard. He kept his head down and even enrolled in a low-level school under the name of Ky’lar.

It was then he made friends with a ‘lesser’ (as he’d eventually call him) boy.  He was fresh just out of a high school in Florida and had moved to California with his family.  They became inseparable and Ky’lar was finally achieving what he could call happy.

However, it didn’t last long. His new friend – that he’d known for almost two years – admitted he was going back home. An argument happened and then Ky’lar Richardson made their first kill.

A kill that turned his entire life upside down – or right-side up depending on your point of view.

It wasn’t pretty by any means. One moment they were talking, the next, they were yelling, and then Ky’lar had pretty much killed them by slamming them against a wall just a bit too hard. At least, that was the official report by the police.

The truth (if one could call it that) was much more graphic. While Indeed the boy was slammed, it also appeared as if someone had burned the boy from the inside out and left only a husk remaining.

Thankfully, for everyone, the investigation was swept up in the ‘cold case’ files, and ultimately forgotten.

It was after that moment everything started to change. It was after that moment that the true foundations of who Ky’lar Richardson is today started to come into play.

He went back to his family home; shaking and denying what had just happened. His Caretaker listened to the story and called immediately for his Grandparents. Once the both of them were updated on the situation, Ky’lar’s Grandfather admitted that he thought there would be more time and enacted a plan that would put the stops on the investigation by making a few calls.

Once they were made, a family meeting was held, and a discussion was had. A discussion that was ultimately years in the making. Ky’lar’s Grandparents explained that a deal was made to have a grandchild, but his mother was never supposed to get caught in the Crossfire. Records of his birth were shown and even an explanation to why his mother was never mentioned growing up was given as well.

For Ky’lar this was all too much to take in at once; he needed to know more about himself and about these… Demons that were real. He needed to know what he was facing and how many people truly knew about his nature.

His Grandparents didn’t have all the answers – He didn’t expect them to, but there was an urge deep inside Ky’lar to burn them for ignoring the truth. No, not ignoring it – refusing to admit it. It was an urge he would ignore until he got all the information he needed.

For the next three years, Ky complied every book he could get on the supernatural, and about magic. He studied around the world and even created his own version of a source book – a Lexicon as he’d call it of everything he knew with notes. It contained everything from spells, to bindings, and even how to summon – as well as banish – demons.

Everything in the book was tested, re-tested, and guaranteed to work. Ky’lar wanted to make sure that he’d be prepared for when (or if) a true conversation with his father happened. More importantly, he wanted to survive it.

Returning to his family home after he finished obtaining the knowledge found in his Lexicon wasn’t an easy reunion. He’d changed in quite a few ways and even looked a bit darker than before – almost as if something was attached to him, but not in the good way.

His Grandparents commented on this change, but only received a heated response in return. A response that eventually turned deadly – for everyone inside the residence.

Ky’lar Richadson burnt his family home with his Grandparents and an unknown number of individuals inside.  It was a blaze that made all the papers and was investigated as Arson… only to go cold three months later.

After the blaze, Ky’lar couldn’t believe what he’d done, and raced off to the nearest church. He begged, and pleaded for forgiveness, but received none.

For the next two years, he went from church to church – begging and pleading for some sort of sign. He prayed, he gave to the poor, and repented daily. Ky’lar tried to do the best for everyone around him and eventually it led him right back to the United Kingdom where he met a Demon named Kabraxis.

Kabraxis and Ky’lar quickly became great friends and allies. Up to the point where when Kabraxis admitted he was a demon, Ky’lar was more than simply accepting, he admitted he didn’t care what the other was.

It was only shortly after the admission on Kabraxis’ part that he offered a deal to Ky’lar. It was more out of mutual benefit, but it was one that would benefit the both of them. All Ky’lar had to do was make a few contracts and he’d eventually have everything he ever wanted.

Ky’lar agreed to the deal after months of assurances and coercion on  Kabraxis’ part that everything would go to plan. It was a decision not made out of haste, but out of mutual benefit, and he’d outwore his welcome in most churches after hanging around Kabraxis’ for so long.

Finally, by the time Ky’lar Richardson was thirty years old, he’d started rebuilding his family’s old residence, and returned full time to the United States. While he does have a tendency to stay in hotels – and spend most of his time in the United Kingdom, specifically England, he has started to find a nice balance between who he was, who he is, and who he can be.

  • Ky’lar is -highly- dangerous. He gets what he wants and is a pathological-compulsive liar. Far more often than not he’d lying – be it about himself, what he does, or even if he’s Human or not. Sarcasm suits him just as well as any amount of truth.

He gets what he wants and will do anything to obtain it; be it a relationship, a relic, or someone’s own assets. If Ky’lar is after something? He will get it one way or another… he’s that sure of himself.

  • General Information

    Languages:

Ky’lar’s primary language is English, but can also speak German, Spanish, and some Latin fluently.

However, he also knows some Enochian, and enough Russian as well as Arabic to have a short conversation.

    Combat:

Ironically, his fighting capabilities are solely based on hand to hand combat or with knives, and the only thing going for him is his demonic abilities ( even though he’s advancing in his combat techniques ).

While he can use ranged weapons such as guns, he would prefer not to use them unless it’s absolutely necessary to do so.

    Magic:

While this is more of an ability than anything else, Ky’lar is adept at magic, but not enough to be considered an adept with it. If anything, he’s just a step below adept, and will use magic ( specifically darker / harsher spells ) if needed to in a fight.

    Abilities

    Limited Immunity:

This comes down to several specific parts as  Ky’lar’s father ( blackheart ) has full immunity to most ‘normal’ demon limitations, Ky does not. His immunity is more limited to the part that he’s still part human and therefore shares the same limitations as human turned demons do ( though at a lower end of the spectrum. ).

While some Demons and Monsters may stay away from Holy ground, Ky’lar can freely walk on it, and it doesn’t effect him much. It may be a slight headache, but nothing that is entirely debilitating.

More to the point, Holy water gives a lighter burning sensation than it does most demons, but it still sizzles when it hits his skin. To that regard, it works the same as it would to any other Demon, but with less initial kick.

The same goes with salt —- it doesn’t do much in all reality to him. If anything, it is simply more than a little annoying, but with enough, it can be used to either contain him or cast him out of a body.

On the other hand, there is an issue with devil’s traps; they don’t hold him for long or they don’t work at all. It’s honestly a toss-up for if they work, but at the same time, with enough alterations, any devil’s trap can hold him indefinitely if done correctly.

    Poison Touch:

While, the ability to kill someone with simply a touch has been myth for most, it’s very real for Ky’lar; with a mix of magic as well as his own demonic abilities, the Demon can very well intoxicate as well as ‘burn’ a human from the inside ( by raising their body temperature ) out.

Therefore, it’s quite possible that he could even boil someone from the inside out, and it’s why he usually wears gloves when he’s stressed due to the lack of control he has over his impulsive decisions.

    Telekinesis:

It’s not an uncommon trait with demon’s ( or ghosts ) to be able to move objects from one end of the room to another. In truth, at first this ability was limited, but now it’s not — he has just above the same amount of power most middle to higher ranked demon’s do in either holding people or objects in place, and of course, moving them towards him.

There also is the point that his ability is not simply limited to moving objects, but he can also cause electronic’s to explode, flicker, or possibly even catch fire.

    Teleportation

As with most demons, they can appear, and disappear at anytime. The only problem with this is Ky can’t exactly travel long distances ( over two thousand miles ) with out having to take a ‘short’ cut so to speak in hell. It’s not entirely needed, but it does end up saving him energy.

    Superhuman Strength

As a demon, he has more strength than a mortal man, and therefore could possibly hold off several hunters at once in a fight —- however, this also goes to show that he can lift things a normal human would either have trouble doing or would be impossible to do.

    Immortality

Like his father and grandfather, he’s immortal — just like most Demons. They can be sent back to Hell, but not killed by ordinary mortal mean’s or weapons.
