This was the last time he would ever trust John to get him out of a rough spot. While Ky thought things were going well… he ended up falling right for this trap. Maybe his actions had been a little too erratic these days, but it didn’t justify being stuck in a cell like this… right smack in the middle of nowhere.
“Fuck you.” While Ky could have said more, he was going to be more direct as he leaned his back against a wall; if he couldn’t break through whatever was hold him in? He’d have to wait it out, but that could be impossible given his choice. “Can’t even face me yourself; you have to hide behind,” he gave a gesture to place he was in. “this.” A grin soon spread across his lips. “Growing weak on me, Johnny?”
she wasn’t sure why he bothered coming to her — he didn’t need her in his life, and the tone of his voice said he didn’t particularly want her in his life either. the ghosts in her house flitted by, silent, watching, but val’shara ignored them, looking at her son with those bright black eyes of hers. ‘ feel free. ‘ she turned away from him, heading deeper into the dark room. ‘ i know you will. ‘
there was a part of him that wanted to comment he shouldn’t have come here, but he silenced it. to show weakness if any kind wasn’t a good thing – not when he knew someone would have their claws right into it sooner or later. so, he left the room in silence.
getting cleaned up was easy; he had several gashes, but nothing that wouldn’t be cleared up by the end of the day. a few others wouldn’t be gone for a few days. maybe by mid week they’d be gone, but most likely sooner. still, it wasn’t as bad as he thought – this time around at least.
once he was done, he slipped on a shirt over his pants, and headed towards one of the main rooms. it may not have been the best of idea’s, but he knew he couldn’t avoid her forever. least of all here.
there is a low and throaty chuckle that escapes mar-vell. “my friend, do not be a subspecies of beings who have a god complex. it will do little good to you.” it’s no secret the blue kree looked down upon the pink kree, nearly seeing them as abominations and too similar to humans. the kree bloodline had been tainted with interspecies mating. “but as i said before, present your claims and i may be able to assist you. no need for, all of this.” hand waves vaguely between them. mar-vell would like to take the diplomatic approach before action.
he was trying to do this the only way he knew would possibly bring results. simply asking would get him no where most of the time, but maybe this was one of the few times it would grant him access to what he needed. if not? well, he’d tried all ways, but simply doing what was absolutely needed. “my family is after me.” it wasn’t the entire truth – not even close to it actually, but he figured he’d start small, and work his way from there.”i can’t go back home and even if i could? i’d be put in a cell far worse than you can possibly imagine.”
maybe she was right that he wasn’t a mistake. on the other hand, that was all he’d been told for as long as he could remember; a mistake that shouldn’t have happened nor existed. still, it was rare that anyone ever told him he wasn’t one – was he really? he didn’t know.
‘you say that as if it means anything; i have to deal with reality.’ the one where he’d never truly belong anywhere. the reality where all he did was for nothing and that he’d always be unwanted. if not by her… by himself.
‘-and that is that no matter what i do; no matter how much i try.’ his voice raised slightly; hands forming into fists. ‘i’ll never get anywhere!’
