❛    THAT --- WAS A PRETTY STIFF SHOT FROM THOR. Do you need some ice?    ❜  Anyone that the thunder god was willing to lash out that hard at was someone the captain needed to be WEARY of. His movements were hesitant, eyes watchful, as an ice pack was extended to the tall blonde. There was something not quite... RIGHT about the other man, something unnatural just below the surface that Steve couldn’t put his finger on.

Something he was determined to figure out.

❛    What did you do to make the big guy so upset?    ❜

THE ICE WAS TAKEN DUE TO THE FACT IT WOULD HELP. Maybe not much in all reality, but he was ATTEMPTING to be as nice as possible. Ky never was on good terms with THOR and he knew why. One could only take so much BATING before they lashed out. Still, he WOULDN’T deny the fighting helped - even if Ky seemed to be the LOSER this time around. It was SOMETHING he disliked, but sometimes it was EASIER to accept the loss than FIGHT against it.

❛    Exist,  ❜    he said, GLARING at the captain out of habit.  ❛ I exist - that is WHY.  ❜  a pause.  ❛   ALONG with the fact he’s a PRICK.   ❜

THEY OUGHT TO HAVE EXPECTED THAT   .    the demon glanced away   ,     instead    .    some     ,    they thought    ,     were a bit more charmed by some cheek than outright groveling    .     but not him    !     even to    ,     of all things    ,    a demon    ,    he was out of his mind     .    worse than most greater demons    .    most    .    greater demons were at least predictable    .    he was not    .    “yeah     ,       i got it     ,”     they replied    .    they knew already they were pathetic    ,     so it was not much on their pride to act on it    .     “i’ll make sure no other    ,     um      ,   mix ups happen again    .”

BEING PREDICTABLE WAS INSULTING.        the moment he started having actions that could be predicted was the moment he’d lose his edge.         if they grovelled a bit more maybe he’d have at  least thought of giving a decent amount of  thought to forgiveness,       but why do that? he may not have had all the power he boasted about,     but  he’d get it one way or another.      “   good.       ‘cause if it does… you’ll wish you’d never been made.    ”

STARTER CALL // @hellfirebound

Looks could often be deceiving–after all, who would guess half the things that were true about Loki simply by looking at him?–but this one looked like a right prick. Maybe it was just his face, his self-assured stature, or maybe he really was a right prick. Who was to say? Loki had never met a demon before and certainly wouldn’t know what to do in the face of one regardless if he was actually aware of its presence or not, which he currently was not. The movies surely didn’t prepare him for any run-ins with cryptids at all and the TV shows and novels and video games weren’t much better. The hell was he supposed to do? Diddle around? Murder ‘em? Whip out a crucifix he most certainly never had on him and condemn them to some fiery place? Knowing him, he’d flirt his way through. Because that clearly solved everything. But, anyway, this prick lookin’ fella was a demon, Loki just had absolutely no idea.

You ever met a talkinraven?” It was so bizarrely unrelated to any of the thoughts coursing through his head (which, to be fair, consisted mostly of what he wanted to eat for lunch) and yet not at all odd for him. And he grinned, too, as charming as could be.

Over-all, it was quite the amusing question. Ky knew many things were possible; talking animals just happened to be one of the few rarity’s. Well, not so rare if you actually could understand them, but that was ultimately besides the point.

“Are we talking about a stuffed animal or a flesh-and blood one?” The answer didn’t truly matter to him, but he still would enjoy to hear it. Especially since with a bit of luck… his night could turn amusing. Not fatal – he wasn’t even wearing  the right outfit to go on a murder spree tonight, but amusing all the same. Or so he hoped at least.

“Or… is that how people say they’re interested these days?” it was a slight joke on his part, but only due to the fact he was in a half-way decent mood. A mood even Ky didn’t know how long it would last and yet… he wasn’t going to let that stop him from having a good time.

“good to know you’re a self-proclaimed hot shot?” sometimes she didn’t mean to be rude; it just poured out of her mouth without a second thought. couldn’t really help it when he told her that he was kind of a big deal. “must be nice to get what you want, though. i have no idea what that’s like anymore.”

“give me a day,” he said, arms folding behind is back. “one day and you’ll have whatever you want. no strings attached.” maybe there would be a few strings, but why should that matter? “— think of it as a good gesture.” the only one he’d ever give this year, but good all the same.

‘ you have a mother. ‘ pointedly. ‘ don’t you ever dismiss her like that. ‘ lilith was particularly protective of mothers; bearing children who didn’t love them, or found themselves ungrateful; it was a sting she knew well, one that got buried deep. ‘ you wouldn’t be here without her. ‘ he had taken the amusement out of playing pretend step-mommy.

he knew he had one; dismissing her was just easier. ky didn’t need anyone – he attempted to prove that time and time again. why should he hold anyone else higher than himself? or maybe he just didn’t understand that point. ‘have you ever thought maybe that would  be a good thing? not to have existed at all – i’m sure  many would  agree to  that. including dear ol’ dad.’

diabolgod‌:

THE NAMELESS DARKNESS. ‘ Oh don’t tell me he put a bit of melancholy in your ashy, shriveled little heart. ‘ the lily white bitch strikes again. putting his feelings, and hopes, and joy where no one asked. for all the dark one cared, the light could  stuff his joy somewhere he’d oh so enjoy. ‘ Exhume it. Better yet, let me rip it out. ‘ nothing a bit of elbow grease can’t fix. don’t worry, it’ll only be excruciating

‘luckily for the both of us… I don’t have a heart.’ or if he did,  he never let it show;  why waste feelings on anyone other than himself? pride and vanity showed through and through. he wasn’t going to let anyone change that, but ky still enjoyed having some sort of assurances… even if they were  false. ‘—i’d  like to see you try.’

‘you’re still a person.’ human or not – he still called sentient beings people. mainly due to the fact it was easier than calling them titles… or calling her mother. ‘i think that counts for something.’ rather, he thought it did, but his thoughts -personal or otherwise- didn’t amount to much these days… or anytime before really.

// @themonstrovs  xxxx

“I guess its a good thing I am not human, because what I see is a
handsome powerful being.” Winking she crossed her arms he was
slowly building an army and was trying to butter him up. “But yes they
do fear things they do not understand, seems to be a habit of most
beings.”

“— If you’re trying to get me to listen,” he said, letting a deep
sigh escape his lips, “It looks like you’re doing a pretty good
job.” That much he’d admit. “Now, what is it exactly you
want; besides stating the obvious?”
