“So remind me again why people are scared of you? Unless you made that up.”
“My dear, i’ve never made anything up. Humans just fear what they don’t understand.” A shrug. “Most of the time at least.”
“— Let’s be honest here for once; i don’t like anyone.” He could have admitted he didn’t even like himself, but the obvious didn’t need to be stated. Not this time around. “And they don’t like me either.”
“ Well, what a pleasant surprise – you intruding into my castle like this. To what do I owe the pleasure of your company ? ” Hades inquires, descending down the long black marble staircase within his castle, his black robe trailing behind him. His pale blue eyes flicker somewhat irritably. “ Shall I have the souls fetch wine ? ”
“ Family matters. ” Rather, Ky needed someplace to think, and if intruding here meant he might be able to have it? Well, he’d do so – even a cell would be far more… preferable than someone breathing over his shoulders back home. “ –– And if you wish. It would give them something to do at least .”
“I’m not exactly the best person to be around.” It was an admission he was comfortable giving due to the fact it was the truth. Not entirely the truth, but none the less, he figured admitting it would serve him well. At least for the moment. “—- never have been.”
“Thanking you?” He couldn’t help the scoff that escaped his lips. “At best you’ve only caused more damage.” Ky didn’t think anyone could blind them for long. Sure, it might last a short while, but eventually someone would track him down again. It was how it always happened; he didn’t expect this little bit with John to be any different. “At worst? Well, there is no full solution.” Well, there were a few, but even Ky knew that the risks far out-weighed the benefits. “When they find me – not if,” he said, moving to poke John right in the chest. “It won’t be pretty.” In truth he could have added on he wasn’t going back, but even Ky knew it was only a matter of time before that happened. With or with out John’s help.
Was she really that sorry? Most likely not – no one truly was these days. He wasn’t, why should anyone else? He lost a fight and in turn almost his life. Ky’lar may have been foolish, but one moment he thought things were going well and the next he found himself slammed harshly against a wall. Once that happened, everything turned hazy, and he didn’t -or maybe he didn’t want to- remember much.
“Doubtful,” He said bluntly, hands slipping into his pockets. “Losing would have happened sooner or later.”
“first off; what is an edgelord? secondly, who is this warhead?” he started to ask another question and then he rubbed at his temples. “— you know what? i don’t want to know.”
“even with a plague, there would be some who were immune or simply survive it,” he said bluntly. “it would have to be something that changes from person to person. a strain that could wipe out an entire content in a short matter of time. something that will appear and then disappear before anyone will have time to react.”
