A HARD EYE ROLL, ENOUGH to make his head hurt. lips curl into a snarl and ross shakes his head. “i was done the moment i lay eyes on you.” maybe ross should be scared, but he’s more annoyed and angry at the moment. ross continues to walk. “i really don’t care at this point.”
“THEN MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAND OVER what i want, Ross.” That way, Ky could move forward with his plans, and wouldn’t have to deal with the other again. Though, he doubted that he would actually comply with-out some use of force. “It’s all very simple.” A pause. “You hand me what I want and then I leave you alone.”
ky’lar didn’t need to hear the obvious. nor did he think it was absolutely necessary. still, it was odd for dean to say such a thing – or if he’d said it before? ky ignored it… just as he ignored most things in all reality. “what do you want?” a simple question, but one he thought needed to be answered. “you know how busy i’ve been.”
“Catch.” His words provide little warning as he tosses an object in Ky’s direction. Flat on both sides, the runestone sported an intricate design on its front, and its arcane magicks could be charged with power should it be presented with a gift of blood. “I have heard word of your plight to travel more easily between the realms. Perhaps this will offer some assistance.”
His left hand came out to catch the object; not really looking at it until it was firmly gripped there. At first glance, he didn’t notice anything special about it, but after a few moments, he started to notice the design, and a quick grin spread across his lips.
“You’re sure being helpful these days – tell me do you truly think this is the best option… for someone like myself?” Ky almost was about to say more about his reasoning for that statement, but instead, he held his tongue in check. Well, for the moment at least.

Sympathy was not exactly what Norrin would describe feeling for the half-demon attractive man. He could understand him though, but he was not one to share such thoughts especially to one being the grandson of one of his greatest enemies.
“I know your grandfather better than I wish to. At least you seem capable of reason unlike he.” Also Norrin didn’t recoil in Ky’s presence as he did his grandfather.
“Oh, i’m sure i’m capable of many things. All it really takes is a bit of effort and my family leaving me alone.”
Sometimes it was easy to escape their grasp, but most of the time it was difficult to even attempt such a thing. Even then, he was watched, and while Ky didn’t know who or what was watching – maybe no one at all… he still knew someone was there trying to keep tabs on him.
“I’m not like them… no matter what you believe.”
Norrin’s eyes followed Ky’lar’s hands which he slid into his back pockets. He briefly imagined his hands touching…
“Well you seem to have mostly bad days then.”
“Mostly,” he mused, “but not all the time.”
Then again, Ky doubted that Norrin would even listen to him. Most had never even tried or… if they did? Ky never really took notice or his bad and good days were so alike that people just stopped trying.
“Once… there were many good days, but then he showed up, and you know how my family is when they get their eye on something.”
