A small frown formed on Loki’s face as he listened to the other. Could it be that he was who the god of mischief through he was? It all added more confusion to the whole situation, making Loki, if anything, raise his guard even more, but at the same time he remained in his spot, deciding to engage a fight only if needed.
“I have to admit, I imagined Lady Death to look a lot different than you.” He finally spoke. Naturally, he could have been wrong, but in every tale Frigga would tell his brother and him, it was Lady Death who came to the surviving warriors and offer them to bring one of their loved ones back in exchange for their own life. “What makes you think people here are desperate enough to do so while the Avengers still stand and there is hope that all of this can be reversed?”
“Humans are… complicated, but if you wave an offer in their face that is good enough? They will be begging for the chance.” He’d seen it first hand – even in history, when the idea of Absolution was so grand a thing… people took it in droves.
In this case, Ky was making deals – not a lot of them, but just enough so he could head back home with something more than begging to be forgiven for leaving. Something that hopefully would state his family’s anger. “I don’t know about Lady Death, but I know how people will beg for second chances, and will even trade their lives for others.” A deep sigh escaped his lips. “It may be reversed, but for now? Giving people some sort of…hope is better than nothing.”
this is more so a reminder for myself to A: make a full ask meme of the horrific ghost rider movie once i find the script again B: make a full post on similarities between ky & blackheart from the movie & the comics.

“Ah. and that’s why you came to me.” Natasha rolled her eyes. “I have taken lives before, but never needlessly and never without great care.” Her voice was hard and cold, like ice in summer refusing to melt. “I’m not going to help you. That’s final.” And now that she knew he planned to be reckless she’d notify the Avengers about his request.
ky always had a back up plan of sorts; even if she didn’t agree to this… he’d find a way to do it. however, he doubted that it would actually go smoothly. no matter – he wasn’t going to force her. not this time at least. “as i said, no one will get hurt,” he left off that little note about things going well this time as he took a few steps back, “either way? do try to stay out of my way. i do have places to be, and work… to do.”
at the last moment, ky was about to issue a threat – one he’d regret, but instead, he just turned around with a shrug. “do try to keep alive – i have a feeling we’ll end up seeing more of each other soon enough.”
Ohh, he is doing his damnedest not to break. She can see it. She can feel it. She hadn’t truly recognized it before but, now she can perceive, in some ways she’s pushing his buttons – sometimes a little bit too much. And yet, here they are, still standing. She’s still breathing, and it’s not secret as to why. He’s gentle with her. Careful.
“Sorry.” she notes, remembering it’s still a sore subject, even from her lips. And then came his sentiment and she can’t help but smile, but she keeps it simple. Babs nods, then formally agrees with an, “Okay.”
Breaking was easy; restraining himself was hard. They would have much to get through – not to mention warnings that Ky would give to her again and again. Pushing his buttons wasn’t cute, but she didn’t know everything. How could she be at fault for not knowing?
He takes in a deep breath and lets it out slowly, hand moving to run just under her chin for a few moments. It was new… this entire thing ( as he’d call it ) was new… something that was amazing, but also terrifying. “An’ hopefully we have no uninvited guests.”
Ky could have given an answer out-right, but instead, he decided to take things a bit easier. If not for himself… for her personally. Deep down, he cared for her – he was actually decent around her, but could he truly say he did? Not really. The moment he admitted it to anyone – even himself – was the moment that he actually had to face those feelings. It was something that Ky never wanted to do – not now. Not ever. “You don’t want that answer,” he said, glancing to the ground. “It’s safer that way.”
“It’s doubtful you could – or even would poison me.” If she did? Well, that would be amusing, but doubtful that i’d even hurt him. “Or has your opinion changed of me over-night?”
