“Mmm want to test that theory?” her green hues remain trained on him. “A very wrong and bland assumption, you’d be surprised. I’m much more adventurous then you give me credit for and I’m a little insulted.”
“anytime, anywhere, and any place,” he said bluntly. “this… theory of mine will be tested and i can assure you.” a short two-second pause. “you won’t be able to hold me. no one can.”
“Why, Ky’lar Richardson. Are you hitting on me?” she’s playful, beaming, a big ball of happy energy. “Add some ice cream to that list, and you’ve got yourself a solid evening, Sir.” Babs nibbles on her bottom lip, bridging any former gap between them. The height difference is quite palpable as she lingers there, fingertips trailing along his arm.
“Are you thinking about…staying in?” she whispers.
if she was anyone else, he would have wrapped his hands around her throat for using that name. it wasn’t exactly a bad thing, but it still burned. he still wasn’t used to anyone using it besides in hate or scorn. a reason to why his eyes narrowed – if only for a moment. just as fast as it was there… it was gone as a deep breath escaped his lips.
“i was thinking,” he said, voice just a bit lower than usual. “that after we eat… you’re welcome to ask whatever questions you wish.” a pause. “with-in reason, of course.”
of course he did; just like he knew that the deal he was making wasn’t going to turn out well for him, but only if he broke it. still, what was the old saying? no reward with out any risk? well, this was one he was taking – a reason to why he was trying to be so careful with his words. that way, maybe he could come out of this with-out losing his head ( so to speak ). “I do,” he said bluntly. “this city is under my protection now. that means… anyone who decides to fuck up that peace i’m going to establish? will die… painfully.”

oliver was sucking in a deep breath since he returned from the island all he ever wanted was to keep his city safe and that man was offering that, but the price to pay seemed too much for him , eyebrows furrow as hands fold over his chest , thinking it over going against him could have an entire town pay the consequences. “ What if I offered you my soul in exchange for the one third you want ?”.
it was a very tempting offer. so tempting, he almost accepted with-out thinking of the consequences, but instead, he bit his lower lip as he considered his options. for one, he could use oliver to his advantage, but at the same time… that was many souls to trade for his – maybe it would be worth it. one soul didn’t have the same value as others, but was oliver’s really worth that many? possibly. he just didn’t completely see it. “i’d say you’re a brave man.” a pause. “brave, but very foolish as well – are you sure about this?”
i’m gonna go and say that he likes to switch, but then again… sex rarely happens with him. it’s not that he can’t have it, but rather he just doesn’t really enjoy it. however, if he actually trusts the person he is with it’s still up in the air, but around 9/10 times he avoids the situation all together.
“When I said ‘heads up we might be being followed’ this isn’t what I meant.” Diana whispers in a slightly annoyed tone as he pins to the wall of the alleyway, acting like a shield as they waited to see if the men followed or if they just passed by the alley.
“or, you could have said nothing at all.” not that it mattered to him – ky didn’t care either way, but he never could resist a fight. not really at least. “either way? i’ll handle it. all you have to do is trust me… or something.”
“ i can surpass the son of a demon, ” she was practically jogging next to him in comparison. however, she does not feel as if this was a victory – there was more to be taken into consideration. especially in her surroundings and his identity. if he truly was blackheart’s spawn, he’s not going to come willingly to be locked in hel.
“ confess your crimes and come willingly – don’t make this harder than what it needs to be, ” she bites her tongue and cheek as she preps for the unexpected. a warrior must assume the worst and never falter – not until the last second.
the thought of any crimes was laughable at best, but he’d keep his lips sealed on that specific matter. no, he wasn’t going to admit to anything – sure he’d done enough to warrant him a death sentence in a few realms, but it all could be attributed back to his nature.
“ you sure ‘bout that? ” he asked, grin still plastered across his face, and for the most part ky believed he was in control of the situation. he might not have known much about her, but he knew she was a warrior of sorts – not of earth. that much was clear, but he’d been wrong before. “ the way I see it, ” at least for the moment. “ i’ve done nothing wrong. ” at least for the last few days. “ so, what is there to confess? ”
