he didn’t do his little rescue out of kindness. nor did he do it out of a simple amount of willingness to help. no, ky wanted to make his presence known, long before they could even be considered enemies, and this was the only way. sure, he saved him, but that could quickly change… if he felt like it at least.
“to talk,” he said, leaning against one of the walls in the dirty, cash only hotel room. it wasn’t where he wanted to be in; not clean enough for his liking, but it would suffice – especially for the moment. “among other things.”
“so,” his arms folded across his chest, “do you have a name?” a pause, “a real name – not just spider-man?”
truth be told, ky was expecting more of a response from steve. a reason to why the lack of it was… unsettling for him. not due to the point he didn’t get what he wanted, but it was since he got… around zero reaction at all. where was the fun in getting under his skin if he nothing out of it? “did that patriotism wear off or is this just an off day for you?”
“you never like anybody, that’s nothing new.” it doesn’t really bother her because neither did she most days. her tolerance waxes and wanes yet he doesn’t have much of that, no matter who or what it’s regarding. “so what put you in a mood? it’s not like you’re the most charming person but you’re not usually this grumpy either.”
“who do you think?” he didn’t even need to say the name – his father had been hanging around enough. so, that was one of the primary reasons he was upset, but the rest? well, he was just having a bad day, and usually that meant far more than just an ounce of slaughter.
“oh… great. so you gonna try to make sure the fish don’t bite too hard today or am i going to get chewed up?” her heart rate picks up a little bit. the word bait does not resonate well with her, though she would have considered herself more of a pawn in azazel’s plans.
“you’re going to be the lure and i’ll pull you back before they bite too hard,” he said bluntly. “think of it this way; you get to help me find someone.” more specifically, someone he wanted to take out, but that was quite obviously… besides the point.
he looks so smug as his eyes get to her, but it brings out no EMBARRASSMENT, only annoyance. she would love to take him by the back of his neck like a dumb kitten and body slam mercilessly like a demon only could. ❛ look at you. can’t even say ‘daddy issues’ in the same breath. ❜ a brow up, head tilts. now she’s the one wearing a smile, although it’s a little pitiful. ❛ what’s your name again——kebab ? doesn’t matter. you may go on your merry way, or i can barbecue your head and serve with with a side of some french fries. ❜ in her hell it would be a most wanted delicacy and consequences be damned, she’s quite tempted to do just that.
she pauses, gaze turning towards their audience — she has lost her inspiration to play with her food, thus she grabs the bible turned to her in one of the human’s hands and gives a good beating with it ( ha ! she’s always been a fan of tasteful irony ) before throwing the book away. ❛ so ? what it’s going to be, daddy’s boy ? ❜
❛ oh, i just came for the show. ❜ among other things, but if she didn’t want him here? too damn bad – he wasn’t in the mood to deal with leaving. well, not for the moment at least, and he wanted to honestly have some amusement.
so, if that meant possibly steeping on her toes? so be it. ❛ please, do go on. ❜ it was his own way of saying he wasn’t leaving. at least anytime soon as he moved to grab a drink off of a table. ❛ i’d love to see you in action; unless, you have a problem with me being around. ❜ he took a drink. ❛ if so? tough luck. ❜

Jemma screamed when she heard the voice, immediately dropping the device and pulling out her gun. She looked over to where she heard the voice, “How poetic,” she finally mumbled.
She took in his appearance and could not say he looked familiar but since the reason she’d been sent was because of a strange energy source, she felt he may have the answers.
“I don’t think I could go through with it, hes my superior officer,” she explained with a shrug. “Who are you now?”
“well, there is a first time for everything.” more or less, but mistakes could be repeated. even so, he simply gave a light shrug as he leaned his head back against the wall just a bit more – all for the aesthetic.
“as for who i am? well, that’s debatable.“ even more so these days. “though, i never have been one for labels… i think the term of unstable comes to mind. at least on most days, but i’ve been wrong before.”
