He has a few hours to kill before May gets home and everything seems pretty quiet on the Spider-man front (for once), so he figures that now’s as good a time as ever to go dumpster diving. Whatever he finds probably isn’t going top that DVD player, but it’s worth a shot. In fact, he’s almost halfway to his favorite spot when he almost walks straight into someone, which has him backing up and apologizing. “Oh jeez, uh— I’m so sorry, dude.” // @hellfirebound ♥’d (for peter)!
If Ky was being absolutely honest with himself, he hadn’t expected anyone to be near here; maybe someone throwing out trash, but they wouldn’t last long. They’d possibly give him a look and then he’d take a long drink of whiskey. Once that was done, they’d move on, or mutter something under his breath. It was a simple task he did when he got in one of his moods – more so when he’d gotten into a fight with family or one of his ex’s.
Today, Ky wasn’t in the mood for anything; not Peter, not a guy down the street, and certainly not someone who climbed on rooftops saving people. A long drink was taken from the bottle of whiskey and then he dropped it on the ground. “For what?” He managed to get out as he rubbed at his chin for a few moments.
Below are 30 qoutes/lines from the new Avengers Infinity War movie. Could possibly be considered a spoiler. Proceed with caution.
I’m gonna ask you this one time: where is _________?
Yeah, I’ll do you one better. *Who* is _______?
______, you’re invited to my wedding
Let me just say, if aliens wind up implanting eggs in my chest or something and I eat one of you, I’m sorry.
I don’t want another single pop culture reference out of you for the rest of the trip. You understand?
Let’s talk about this plan of yours. I think it’s good, except it sucks. So let me do the plan, and that way, it might be really good.
Dude, you’re embarrassing me in front of wizards.
What’s the matter with you kids? You’ve never seen a spaceship before?
All my life I dreamed of a day, a moment, when you got what you deserved.
Oh, we’re using our made-up names? In that case, I am ________.
You should have gone for the head.
Evacuate the city! Engage all defenses!
And get this man a shield!
How is this dude still alive?
He’s not a dude. You’re a dude. This is a MAN. A handsome, muscular man.
Stop massaging his muscles!
You can’t park here, buddy. Earth is closed today. Take your tractor beam and skedaddle.
It’s like a pirate had a baby with an angel.
You throw another moon at me and I’m gonna lose it!
You really are the worst brother!
Your trespassing in this city and on this planet.
You guys are so screwed now!
The rabbit is correct and clearly the smartest among you.
Seriously? You don’t have any money?
Attachment to the material is detachment from the spiritual.
It’s alright. You could never hurt me. I just feel you.
Death follows him like a shadow.
I need you to create a diversion.
Who the hell are you guys?
Your powers are inconsequential compared to mine.
Contented with the trouncing dispensed, Thor ceases his assault on Ky, using the hammer to bring his momentum to a halt. Boots digging into the dirt, a flick of wrist sees him catch the mallet by the handle, trying his best to shake off the rust he’d developed from not fighting with the weapon for so long a time. He’d had centuries of practice, but it took a mere few months to see his proficiency with hammers dull.
With the other confined to the ground, inviting a challenge, what’s shown of Thor’s bearded face is an impassive mask, unreadable. He could fight Ky, indicate to him what it meant to meddle with a god and the consequences it entailed– but still he grapples with the notion, weighing both sides. It’d certainly feel good to put Ky in his place, but at the same time he’d be playing right into his hands by doing what was expected of him.
Thus, Thor takes a third option, where he favours some easily forgotten shred of moral high ground, selectively rolled out when it suited him. “Whether you shed your human guise or not will not matter. Any such contest will be over within seconds of starting, the victor easily decided– and it will not be YOU.” Regaining confidence in his abilities was still a work in process, but he had made enough strides to at least operate at the level of giving warnings; even if all that had changed was that he held a new fancy hammer in hand, and had his battered pride patched up and healed.
“I will strike you dead where you stand, Ky’lar. Consider this your only warning.”
“Doubtful.” Ky thought in this instance, he could defeat the other – it would just take a slight amount of planning. More importantly, it was the thrill of the fight that he was going for; to know that he could take on someone and not be worried about it ending in three seconds flat.
Maybe he should have had higher aspirations, but quite frankly, he didn’t see why they were needed. If it kept him from lashing out, why not take on a God? It wasn’t like he had anything better to do and maybe he’d get some sort of recognition from his family. Maybe then he’d finally be accepted. Maybe then…. he’d finally not be terrified of going back to his grandfather’s realm anymore.
“Many have tried and many have failed, Thor. The one who will come out victorious will be me. It always will be and want to know why? I won’t hold back or stop just because of morality… i will win because I need to. Because it’s the only thing I can do.” A pause. “Failure is not and is never an option…. least of all when you’re involved.”
He can sense that something is off, but Narvi’s not really one to make presumptions. Perhaps it’s too trusting of him, especially in this day and age, but he likes to live by the idea of innocent until proven guilty. In any case, he’s not about to turn away a strange who might need his help. “Yes?” he asks, tilting his head slightly and regarding the other man closely. “Was there something you needed?” // @hellfirebound ♥’d (for narvi)!
Off was one way of putting it; not exactly the best, but by far not the worst either. Ky was always… unpredictable. More so these days when everything he did managed to backfire. A reason to why he was tracking anyone down who might have been able to give him answers… even if he knew he wouldn’t like what would be ultimately heard. “Perhaps… perhaps not. It all depends on if you’re the one i’m looking for.”
‘ is this the part where I’m supposed to be SCARED? you remind me more of an ADORABLEPUPPY then a rabiddog, ky’lar. although i will give you credit: you do have a KILLER smile. ’ wink.
‘ this is the part were usually people start running or they back away…. slowly. ‘ not that it mattered to him; he knew eddie was different than most, but he’d never admit that out loud. ‘that way, they might live another day – i just don’t feel like striking out tonight. so, you’re safe…even if i am a puppy.’
For Aaron every soul was a flame, a unique signal he could sense within a person. Some were strong, some barely held on. And some burned with such intensity that he could feel them from across a city. He tended to avoid those lights; after all when one is in hiding from dark forces it is unwise to seek out beings of power.
But he couldn’t resist anymore. The draw to seek out this baleful light was too strong. Standing at the landing platform in Avengers Tower, he stepped off the building and let himself be carried by magic into the air. He flew across the city, eyes intent on the source of the strange draw. The air around him heated, subconsciously influenced by his desire to know more. This was power, but beyond that, something different. Something familiar, not unlike himself. Was this another half demon?
He had to know.
Aaron slowed as he approached the source, steam rising off his body from contact with moisture in the air. He calmed himself as he touched down outside a coffee house, though his sudden arrival had seemed to startle a few people on the street. He ignored them. Ignored everything but the beacon of a powerful soul.
Aaron opened the door slowly, walking into the cafe with caution. He couldn’t know if this person had sensed his approach, and if he did Aaron didn’t want to be seen as a threat. He was an Avenger, now. He couldn’t go starting random magical battles in the middle of the city. So he kept his emotions, his magic, under wraps. Of course, this all brought about a new problem. How does one introduce themselves to someone in this particular instance?
“Er… hello,“ he said as he approached Ky’lar, unsure of why he had come here. “Do you… know who I am?“ Dumb way to go, but that was usually how Aaron handled things. Stumble through until you get it right.
What he wanted was a nice cup of coffee and to ‘borrow’ some of their internet. The hotel he was currently staying at had a very shitty – no, nonexistent connection for the last few hours, and he was growing tense.
So, he thought coming here was the best bet; it didn’t just have free wi-fi ( even though he would have paid ) it had people. People, that if pushed in the right direction would more than likely play right into his hands.
Still, he could sense something or someone was near; he didn’t know what ( exactly ), but the hair on the back of his neck stood up at the presence. As unusual as it was, there were few beings who caused it; most of them he knew by their signature of sorts, but this was an unknown.
It made his very skin crawl to the point were the discomfort was neigh unbearable.
“You have approximately sixty seconds before this place turns into a blood bath,” he said, not even glancing up from the computer for the moment. “I would take that time to explain yourself and most importantly… note why i shouldn’t kill everyone in this place as well.”
Annael ignored his tone ; times were tough, and she could not afford to turn down an opportunity like this ust because the opportunity had his head up his own ASS. “ If Lucifer takes control over Hell, the balance of power will weigh too heavily on one side. As much as you might want me to stay out of your way, I’m inclined to ensure you take the throne. All of existence depends on it. ”
“If Lucifer takes over Hell, the Balance of power will shift to the point where we will win. Now, I may enjoy humans to an extent, but if we’re going to be honest here? Why not let things happen as they will; if Lucifer doesn’t take control over hell, it will either be me or… someone who could make it worse than it truly is.” If she wanted to ensure he took the throne, he wouldn’t stop her, but that didn’t mean he had to approve either. “I don’t care for heaven, or hell. I don’t even enjoy earth most days – the drinks are nice though – so, if you want to make sure I take my rightful place? Fine. It’s your call.”
There was someone THERE. Someone outside the cage. It was almost unheard of, to receive visitors in this darkest circle. Occasionally, a demon would drift by, to mock him, or kneel at Lucifer’s side. Peculiar then that the man before him didn’t LOOK like the other demons. Their true form leaked out of whatever corporeal body they had in the pit, but there was something different about this one. Adam leaned his head up against the bars
Being this far into the pit was… making Ky’lar UNEASY. In this darkest circle – if it could even be called such a thing – was one of the few places no one ever wished to willingly go to. Still, if he was going to be stuck here for a while… there was no reason to not at least investigate it; he heard of demons sometimes making the trip down here for one reason or another. Sometimes they came back… others? Not so much. It was why when Adam asked, that Ky couldn’t help, but be at least slightly curious as to the reasons why.
“No one,” he said, as his arms slid calmly behind his back. “At least, no one you should care about; how does it feel anyways? Being stuck in there?”
