Just because I’m not replying to our thread, or your starter doesn’t mean I don’t want to roleplay with you. I’m just slow. Somedays I can write a fucking book, somedays I can’t even write my own name. It’s in the drafts I promise I am just slow as hell.
“And yet here we are,” Ky said, arms folding calmly across his chest. “You let down your guard, Norrin.” A pause. “You let it down and I took advantage of it. True, you might you’re safe here… around me, but at any moment I could hand you over to Mephisto.” Not that he would, but Ky still wanted to issue the threat. If only so Norrin would know exactly what he was capable of. “Do remember that.”
‘ oh, you’re so tough. so broad shouldered and brave, you don’t care what anyone has to say about you. ‘ lilith rolled her eyes, practically so far they turned white. she wasn’t impressed, not that he was out to impress her at any point in his life. ‘ let me state the obvious for you. your mother carried you and loved you when your father abandoned you both. she took on the raising of you on her own, despite what plans your grandfather had in store. val’shara might not be the sanest anymore, but with what the men in her life have done to her, can you blame her? be civil to her, ky, and respect, or so help me, i’ll rip out your lungs and feed ou to a hellhound. ‘
‘i didn’t ask to be born nor even created,’ he said bluntly. ‘dear ol’ dad may have abandoned me, but does it matter? hell would have never accepted me back then.’ ky then ran a hand through his hair. ‘i’m still the little mistake – for good reason.’ he then smirked. ‘now, you want me to say you’re right, don’t you?’ he glanced at his fingernails as if there was something on them. ‘you want me to be civil, hold the door open, and try to be a great son.’ a pause. ‘maybe even human.’ the very thought almost caused him to burst out laughing – almost , but he managed to maintain his composure.. if only for a few moments. ‘unfortunately, i can’t do any of those things. sorry to be such a disappointment.’
“Yet. They aren’t dead yet. The job of ruler of hell offers little security,” Castiel fired back evenly. Even Crowley, who once seemed untouchable, had fallen too— and he was much smarter than the average demon. If Crowley couldn’t hold the throne, why would those beneath him be any different? “I experienced the events of the Bible differently than how humanity remembers them,” he continued flatly. “With Lucifer gone, Hell has little hope for stability. No one who attempts to take that seat will make any difference.”
The angel stood, unflinching. “No. If Hell is so powerful and insists on a natural order, then it shouldn’t require the help of an angel to right itself.” He narrowed his eyes. Helping demons was the absolute last thing he wanted to do, and if this man assumed otherwise…well, he was sorely mistaken.“Or am I wrong?”
“Nothing about hell is… natural by any means.” Most demons were once human – twisted to the point beyond recognition. Others… he didn’t even want to think about what they were before. Hell was… well, it changed people; time worked differently down there and the more a person stayed… the more they changed.
“Sometimes, it needs help to push it in the right direction.” Or, at least a nudge. Even if Castiel didn’t do anything – that didn’t mean change wouldn’t happen. It would all come on it’s own accord. Ky just wanted to… quicken the so called arrival of such change. “You know how Demons can be.”
“we can feel. it takes a long time. and way too much alcohol… really, when i think about it i have to wonder where all of the liquid i have to take in goes. it takes a hell of a long time to even enjoy it. dull my senses enough that i am not tasting every molecule in my cup.”
“you need to drink better alcohol then – old fashion kind that tasted more like gasoline than the stuff they make today.” ky had some once – it actually knocked some sense into him. if only for a few moments. “— might help.”
You’ve let your darkness manifest itself. You have grown wings of darkness. Talons of pure onyx. Teeth so sharp, you draw blood when you speak. Your rage will melt hell and hades himself.
“everyone but the blondie that has a bit too big of a mouth on her… so what are we doing tonight? making deals, tearing through some low level demons? getting hunters to turn on each other?”
there was a slight glare at the mention of jess, but he simply let it go. at least this time.“i was thinking of a mixture of all three. make some deals, rip apart some low level demons, and then? well… the hunters will simply be for sport.”
“Read the Bible,” Castiel said shortly. An angel’s duty may have been to protect God’s creations and carry out his will, but sometimes his intent involved saving humanity from itself. If there were humans that posed enough of a threat, then Heaven had no choice but to intervene. And this, it seemed, was no exception.
“I’m not here to sit on shoulder. It’s not my job to keep you on the right path. You made your own decisions, now you’ll live with the consequences,” he continued, his stance unwavering. “I’ll only repeat myself once: leave.”
“The bible is only a book twisted by mortal scribes; with more than enough thrown out as it wasn’t ‘decent enough’ to make it through the editing state.” Ky spend enough time in churches to know not everything made sense. Granted, his knowledge was warped thanks to his own bias, but he doubted that little bit of information mattered.
“You might not believe it, but there is no right path. Least of all when it involves my kind; humans are pretty bad, i’ll give them that, but you? I wonder – can you surv-” he was about to issue another taunt. One that he knew he wouldn’t be able to back away from, but then he caught himself.
No, he didn’t have enough motivation, willpower, or actual power itself to go through with the threat he was about to issue. A reason to why he took a step back and folded his arms firmly across his chest. “— this isn’t over.”
