the moment the man approaches him, Worldmind whispering in the back of his mind ( *magic, Richard Rider. He is powerful ), a consistency seemingly in every person that he met – Rich was UNDERSTANDABLY wary. But before he could speak, Rich lifted a gloved hand, twinkling light that his suit emitted softening in the dim, &&. sighed. ❛ Look, I ain’t no magic guy, ok? I deal with space shit. If you want help with magic, I think Doctor Strange or Scarlet Witch would be a better bet. ❜
❛ i highly doubt they’d even give me the time of day. ❜ even if they did, things would more than likely turn violent quickly. a reason to why he went here – someone who might not be fully able to help, but give some. or so he thought at least. ❛ among other things, magic can go far, but it’s not the end all of everything. what i need… is a partner.❜
While in non-marvel settings ( spn / dc / whatever you wish / what i default to ) Ky uses vessels and is literarily black smoke when he’s not inside one, but he also has his true form that he can take on ( even while outside of a vessel / body ).
However, in Marvel / 616 settings ( ironically his old main verse ) he does not use them. His body ( that you see him in ) is his own – so is his true form. He may change his appearance at times, but it’s still his own body. up to and including his true form / spiky mini-blackheart version of himself… otherwise known as his true form.
“Ah, well… exactly HOW MANY of them have taken hold of your mind after being touched?”
“i highly DOUBT it would take over my mind.” even if it did? well, it wouldn’t have been the WORST thing that had ever happened to him. nor would it honestly be the LAST.
Tilting his head to one side, Vali couldn’t deny how alike they seemed to be. He at one point, had been good at comforting those that needed it. But along the way, he had either intentionally or unintentionally disassociated himself with anything that had to do with emotion. But he saw something of himself within this man and his words. A previous version of himself. “ It sounds like you spend an awful lot amount of time worrying about what others think of you. Don’t you worry that your anger–” he offered, gesturing towards his fist. “–might validate them? it certain doesn’t look like you’ve gotten used it, ” he paused once more, drawing a breath. “ what…or who, rather, have you always hoped to be enough for ? ”
in his own way… he’d gotten used to it. to always be less than what he could achieve. always the mistake that couldn’t be erased or maybe it could have been, but no one seemed to fix it just yet. then again, he’d learned the hard way time and time again just what would happen if he overstepped his boundaries. try as he might, he may have had some standing, but in the end… all ky ended up being was nothing more than a simple error in judgement. something that try as he might… he never could seem to fix.
“yeah, well,” he said, “it doesn’t matter much does it?” it did, it really did, but it was easier to detach, and distance himself from his own feelings. that way, he didn’t have to ultimately deal with them. still, it was a long while before he finally said anything else – even more so as the two words he were about to say were truthful… even if hard to actually say. “my family.”
Send ‘I don’t feel so good’ for my muse’s reaction to yours suddenly fading away in front of them. Send ‘What’s happening?!’ For the reverse.
shit. that was the only words that went through his mind at this – whatever it was. ky knew he shouldn’t have brought caleb with him, but as per-usual, he just had to cause him to be miserable… now he was fading. he bet it had something to do with a battle or something, but there was nothing he could do about it now.
even as his arms crossed over his chest, he couldn’t help, but wonder what had caused it. “crap.” it was the only word he could managed to get out. not due to the fact he’d miss caleb, but due to the fact now he’d have to find another plaything.
He glances up from his phone at the man who was certainly not supposed to be in his office. A raised brow is the only outward sign of surprise he shows. “Seriously, what do I even pay security for?” he mumbled. “You don’t look like a reporter, and they’re usually not ballsy enough to sneak in here. So, who the hell are you?”
“security only works in some instances, but they can’t protect against everything.” somethings, like himself, could simply slip on through every precaution. then again, when ky knew what he was after or even wanted… he made sure to obtain it. one way or another. “as for who i am? let’s just say i’m interested and go from there.”
there were many things he should have gone for; the chest was easier, a larger area, and something that he could focus on. head, arms, – even hands were too small. he chose something he knew well.
sure, he failed his task, but he was at least trying, wasn’t he? maybe if he focused more on the task – instead of control- , he would have actually been able to accomplish it. though, he doubted it would change much. especially since in his mind he’d never be good enough…for anyone. let alone himself.
“you try going for the bloody head an’ see how it turns out – i’m DONE!”
