it was always the same; dodging cops and staying in run-down hotels. he could afford more – much more, but he didn’t want his name linked to anything. nor did he want to get on any watch lists. a reason to why he hung out in the lowest of low places he could find – anything to stay away from everyone.

that way, he wouldn’t have to worry about the death’s, and he could reasonably find a way to control his abilities. of course, it was better said than done; he already had to change hotels twice this week, but mainly due to his ‘accidents’. the first time was a maid – the second, just a poor kid who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. there would have been a third, but he managed to stop himself just in time.

a reason to why he was in a worse dump than he usually was. it took cash, so that was a good thing, but he still wanted more. much more… he just convinced himself to not grab it… minute by minute and day by day.

“don’t you have someone else to bother?” a simple question; one aimed at who he thought was just someone passing by as he leaned on the railing. “or somethin’ to do?”

“Good to hear.” Demons could be unpredictable. It was better to know for sure whether this one was friendly or not. “Mind if I ask you some questions?”

demons were always unpredictable; sometimes, they could be decent, but most of the time they wanted to cause chaos ( of a sort ). for ky, it depended from moment to moment on how he felt, and what label he called himself for the day. currently, he didn’t feel like either, but that was a subject for another time. “depends on the questions.” a pause. “among other things.”

lorecollector:

Sam wasn’t scared of demons. Maybe he had been, at the beginning, when they officially existed in his mind. Their black and soulless eyes, whole beings taking over a human’s body only to ruin it and leave it lying around somewhere. It was degrading, and wrong, and the fear had been there at Sam’s first encounter with one. Now he just wanted to send each and every one back where they belonged. And so the threat to bring his “family” into the situation did not phase Sam a bit, besides the smirk that appeared at the corners of his lips. “I didn’t know demons were team players,” he joked, fingers never faltering on the colt. “Can’t handle things yourself?

“i don’t consider myself a demon.” at least for the moment, but knowing ky that would change. especially if he didn’t control his more violent urges. “but you’re right. they are not team players – unless you hold respect.” even then, it was a fifty fifty change most demons would do anything. his family, on the other hand… there was more of a eighty twenty chance they would show up. or at least pull something down the line. “then again,” he continued on. “i just thought you should know what would happen. if you decide to go towards a more violent route… when i haven’t caused any trouble for you.”

“Pick a god and pray.”

image

“that’s a little r e d u n d a n t isn’t it? ” why would ky need to pray to anyone? he never believed in an all powerful god – why should he pray to one? especially when a god ( even if they disliked each other ) was right before him.

so, he put his hands together; mocking the usual hands to a prayer. it was all for show ( of course ), but even ky couldn’t deny the twisted grin that spread across his lips.
“oh, thor, god of thunder, i pray for you to… die
a horrible and gruesome death at my hands.”
