Of course he would. What else would he do, but she’d rather say that she helped than to watch him suffer without any effort to comfort him.
“Well, at least let me put them on so I can say that I tried.”
Eddie said stubbornly, cleaning him up and wrapped a light, but tight wrap around his arms. Annoyed that he had to prove he was big and scary and determined to make her suffer for being nice. Probably a demon thing.
she would try. that was the one thing that he could give her credit for. even when he had attempted to push her away… she still tried to push harder to stay. maybe he just wasn’t doing the right thing or he hadn’t figured out how to properly get her to stop caring about him. he didn’t need anyone caring for him. no one had before. why would anyone in their right mind suddenly start now.
either way, he pulled his arms back to his sides shortly after she had wrapped his arms out of habit. he didn’t even need them wrapped — give a few hours and he would be fine. it was how it always was. well, usually. “you didn’t need to do that.” though, he know it didn’t matter how he voiced his displeasure… she would always try to fix him. another reason he needed to pull him self away from here and finally leave.
okay, things are a bit calmed down now. so, i’m gonna try to do drafts here, but might also finish setting odin up as well.
even if he’s right, it doesn’t change anything. she can’t look at the world with such a cynical perspective and still do her job effectively. terragenesis gave her a gift and she promised herself that she would do something good with it. she’d make a difference. or at least that had been her ambition when she was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. now that she isn’t anymore, she doesn’t have a primary objective. “I don’t believe that. there’s always good people out there, always. its the ones like you that try to stifle their voices and I’m not letting you do it to me.” he can’t corrupt her because her faith was unshakable. if there was no hope left for humanity than they were lost and she can’t accept that.
“i highly doubt that.” he wasn’t trying to cover up anyone’s voice. no, he was simply laying out the facts of the matter towards her. if that meant saying harsh facts? so be it, he could deal with that when the time came. “people are never truly good. i know that as fact.” or that was just what he thought at least. “believe what you want, but every human is a potential killer.”
Through your arrogance and stupidity, you’ve opened these peaceful realms and innocent lives to the horror and desolation of war! You are unworthy of these realms, you’re unworthy of your title, you’re unworthy… of the loved ones you have betrayed! I now take from you your power! In the name of my father and his father before, I, Odin Allfather, cast you out!“
❝ don’t fool yourself thinking there is only one specific reality out there. there is a fuck ton of them – all together one on top of another. sometimes, they bleed through – i’m from the year 2085 and i’ve DAMNED my own kind to slavery and then extinction. i’m here to find out as much as I can about these CREATORS and then i’m going to stop them. i’m going to REWRITE HISTORY. ❞
❝ i know what you’re thinking; middle of nowhere, a guy comes up to you in a very fancy suit, and he has an offer for you. not just any offer, but a great one – all you have to do is sign a paper and you can rule the world. so, tell me…what is it you want, but instead of your soul… i just want a favor. one that i can claim at any time up to and past your inevitable demise. ❞

‘yeah, don’t think anyone can argue with that.’ everyone had their strange little quirks. those seemed to be more pronounced in hunters. but humanity and hunters both got a bad rap as far as she was concerned. the majority of both groups were good and their images were tainted by the bad. ‘sometimes there isn’t an explanation, even to the person in question. we don’t always behave rationally.’
‘maybe they should.’ or at least, they could make better decisions. still, it wasn’t like ky could say anything about it. not when he was more (or less) a walking disaster. the only reason he wasn’t stuck in hell was due to his father and even then… he was on thin-ice with all his family members. it didn’t matter who they were.
