‘ did it ever occur to you that i care little as to whether you’re ready or not? that you even have a choice in any of this? i don’t do bargains and i certainly am not about to play this game with you, ky’lar. perhaps others have allowed you to flip flop back and forth and jerk them around, but i will not. this is the end of the line for you. i suggest you come willingly. ’
he was just about to give off a sarcastic remark about how he could refuse, but instead, ky thought better of himself. a reason to why he sucked in a deep breath and let it out as slowly as he could. if this was to be the end of the line… the least he could do would be to issue a request – even if he doubted it would get him anywhere. ‘ let me go to purgatory, ’ he said, arms folding across his chest. ‘ let me fight for an hour then i’ll go… willingly. ’ going there was a death sentence anyways, but he was at least hoping that if he exhausted himself… maybe he wouldn’t have regrets about his decision.
‘ i’m not ready to die, you know, maybe tomorrow.’ or maybe in an hour when he hits another low point where he feels like he can’t go on. still, he wasn’t going to – not if he could help it anytime soon.
‘ who’s a good boy? you’re a good boy. ‘ purring sweet tones to the hellish creature in front of her, scritching what fur was left, and peppering an exposed skull with kisses. the hellhound’s red eyes closed in pleasure, a skeletal tail wagging back and forth. when lilith heard the footsteps in conjunction with a door shutting, she looked up, keeping a hand on the beast’s neck as it issued a low growl.
‘ well, well. look what the cat dragged in. ‘
‘ an’ here i thought the only thing i would see today was more disappointment,’ he said, tone filled with sarcasm. ‘ let me guess, you want me to leave? ’ to do so would have been a blessing – that way he wouldn’t have to deal with her. maybe then he could find a bar and get drunk. it wouldn’t be a fix, but at least it would help him recover from being in her presence.
“did I stutter or did not make myself clear?, unfortunately your way is mine as well so now you can either suck it up and let me help you otherwise you will be seeing a lot of me “.
“i could also rip that nice throat of yours out and simply be on my way.” was it a threat? no. it was a promise of what would eventually happen if things didn’t go the way he wanted them to ultimately go. “the choice is yours.”
❝ In your opinion, can God do wrong? ❞ If he was going to tell the little demon a story of his time in heaven he has to know what his mindset was. There were many stories thatexaggeratedGod’s ‘glory’ but Lucifer knew the truth. The truth that many species choose to ignore since if they acknowledge it then what’s the point of existence.
❝ does it matter? ❞ he had seen the world and the shit it was in. hell, he’d even helped it go deeper into the gutter at times, but he truly doubted the existence in a true all-powerful god. more importantly, if such a being existed…a true ‘perfection’ was debatable.
