“…some restrictions are good you know.” Peter said. “‘cause stealing…murder…destroying a city, those…aren’t good things.“ He said. “I don’t wear a mask because I’m hiding, I wear a mask because I have something to protect. Besides, it’s not like anyone would believe he’s Spider Man anyway.

“not everyone cares,” he said bluntly. “restrictions are… restricting. not to mention all rules are meant to be broken.” and that was just the start of it, but this wasn’t the time nor place for that sort of debate. “you wear a mask as you want to protect things, but i don’t as I am not scared of who knows my face.”

Nathan nodded, “they find any free skin.” He said, already swatting at his arm as he felt a bite. “Pesky little things.” He grumbled as they trekked through the dense jungle.

“…sooo this your first treasure hunt?” He asked. Normally, he’d be taking up the time talking to himself. Not often he had someone with him. Well-he did randomly…Sully most of the time. A couple others…but he liked working by himself.

“the first one where i’m coming along.” though, it was the first one that he had been on. at least… in recent memory. more to point, he doubted that it would make any difference in his mind. “the last one, i just sent people on, but they never came back.” at least in one piece — a reason to why he was going to get the job done right this time… more or less.

“i don’t like the out doors. too messy for my tastes.” at least, messy to the point where he was attacked by bugs. maybe they just didn’t like him. though, that didn’t take much for anyone to not like him. “among other things.”

aiisliing:

Nathan wouldn’t scream-no. He wouldn’t. He just had to get them out of there, finish the damn job and he could go home. Well, he would a new job. New adventure to find, though he was starting to wonder if this was even worth it.

He looked around the cell, moving past the other man to see what they actually had. There had to be a way out of there. He found an old nail and turned it over. “That should get it.” He grumbled going back over to fiddle with it. “Well, then maybe you can do something outside this bloody cell.” He said giving a twist to the nail and hearing the lock pop and he kicked the door open. “Lets get the hell outa here.”

he was being far more stubborn than was needed. sure, ky could have got them out of the cell himself, but he wanted to see what the other could do. yes, he was being rude, and yes….there was much more he could do. ky’lar just didn’t want to.

of course, as the cell door opened, his arms folded across his chest with a grunt. he wanted to give a whole speech about how he was paying the guy to do a job, but didn’t. no, he wasn’t going to risk him being shoved in the cell out of spite, “i can do much more than sit on my ass,” he said, making his way forward.

Peter honestly didn’t know what to say, but he did blow out a breath. “I think I know a lot of people in masks with looser morals.” He stated. “You may not be wearing a mask, but I’d wager you’ve got pretty loose morals.”

“morals are relative and restrictive.” more to the point, he didn’t seem to enjoy them too much either, “wearing a mask simply means you have something to hide, i, on the other-hand, do not.” at least anything that needed to be hidden in a very obvious manner.

Nathan resisted the urge to hit his head against the bars. “Knew you should have listened to Sully, Nate. You should always listen to Sully.” He said to himself.

I am doing my goddamn job.” He finally spoke to Ky’lar. “I’ve been quite excellent at my goddamn job if I do say so myself. Considering I’ve been doing this whole damn thing with an arm tied behind my back.” He turned jabbing a finger at the other man. “No, that sure as hell doesn’t help. Which, is pretty much the help you’ve been this whole damn time. None.”

his eyes narrowed at the other as the finger was jabbed in his direction. it was true, he hadn’t done anything to help, but he wasn’t paying nate to only do a half-assed job. what he was doing was making sure that what he wanted was obtained with minimal effort on his top.

“i gave you all the information you needed,” he said. “if you want me to help, you need to ask the right questions, and not pointing at me like i can do something inside this bloody cell!”
