Babs holds her breath a moment. He’s so good at twisting things, attempting to shy her away from topic at hand. But, it’s not working today. No. Today? Maybe she just feels a bit feistier than usual. Or maybe she just wants him to admit outright for once. “No. No! I DO want that answer, Ky.” she doesn’t deal with ‘safety’ very well considering all she’s been through. She’s a daredevil. He knows this. ‘Safer’ isn’t always better. Not to her.

_{he should have known she’d say that; wanting the answer was good and all, but the reality of the situation was vasty different. ky could have said the truth out-right, could have even done many things – the only problem was he didn’t want to. no, ky would keep his silence on the matter. that way, he wouldn’t pull anything that he’d almost certainly regret in the near future.}

_{as such, a deep breath was taken in, and then let out slowly. instantly, he knew what he’d say he’d most certain come to regret ( what he’d been trying to avoid ). all the same there was no going back now. “It’s… complicated.” already he could feel the entire world clasping around him. “i don’t… care… i don’t love in a way you’d understand.” or maybe it was just ky trying to not explain his feelings. either way? he couldn’t stop now- not in the slightest.}

_{“we’re having fun – i… i’m having fun.” a pause as he ran a hand over his face. “it never lasts long anyways,” he said, letting another deep breath out. “you don’t have a future with me – no one does.” he actually sounded sad for a moment, but then his tone changed back to somewhat normal. at least for the moment. “look, i care about you more than i have anyone,” a truth, but one he wasn’t entirely sure was accurate, “i really do an’ there have been times i’ve wanted to rip you apart, but i don’t – if that doesn’t mean i care? that i give a fuck about you? well, i don’t know what does.”}

_{after a few seconds he spoke again. “what i do know is that i wouldn’t be anywhere else right now. if that’s not enough? well… tough.”}

She arches a brow and leans in. “Yes.” Babs doesn’t even hesitate to answer him. “My turn.” she provokes, taking a step closer to him. “Do you ever, or have you ever, given a flying fuck about me?”

_{Ky could have given an answer out-right, but instead, he decided to take things a bit easier. If not for himself… for her personally. Deep down, he cared for her – he was actually decent around her, but could he truly say he did? Not really. The moment he admitted it to anyone – even himself – was the moment that he actually had to face those feelings. It was something that Ky never wanted to do – not now. Not ever.
“You don’t want that answer,” he said, glancing to the ground. “It’s safer that way.”}

“Opinion hasn’t changed. But I’m not very happy with you right now.”

_{“– better question,” his lips pursed into a thin-line for a few moments. “have you ever been truly happy with me or any of the decisions i’ve made?”}

“How d’you know I didn’t poison it?”

_{“It’s doubtful you could – or even would poison me.” If she did? Well, that would be amusing, but doubtful that i’d even hurt him. “Or has your opinion changed of me over-night?”}

pulls back into bed for cuddles!

_{he was hoping to get up – maybe even go out for a few hours. anything to clear his mind, but instead, he was yanked back into bed, and a very low groan followed suit. he enjoyed doing what he wanted and that was why this little… set back wasn’t enjoyed. not truly at least.
“—-five more minutes,” he said, letting a deep sigh escape his lips. “i need to get up.”}

She clicks her tongue and eyes his hand upon her shoulder. “So. Sleeping on the couch tonight then??” she returns a less than pleased expression in his direction.

_{He removed his hand with a grunt. “Luckily for you, I don’t need sleep.” A truth, but Ky did enjoy it from time to time… even if it was filled with nightmares. “Among other things? I’ll spend the night drinking.”}

he cleared his throat for a few moments to try to clean this mess up.
instead, he moved to place a hand on her shoulder, and grinned.
“not entirely.”}

“the only begging i’ll do is to beg you to shut the fuck up.” (caleb pls)

_{“i would have thought you’d have learned by now, caleb.” ky should have known better in that regard. caleb would never learn – not truly at least. “however, it seem’s as per-usual you’re a nuisance.” a pause. “such a shame. i almost thought we were getting somewhere with your attitude.”}

_{of course he did; just like he knew that the deal he was making wasn’t going to turn out well for him, but only if he broke it. still, what was the old saying? no reward with out any risk? well, this was one he was taking – a reason to why he was trying to be so careful with his words. that way, maybe he could come out of this with-out losing his head ( so to speak ).
“I do,” he said bluntly. “this city is under my protection now. that means… anyone who decides to fuck up that peace i’m going to establish? will die… painfully.”}

Soooo, out of curiosity – for science, purely – is Ky’lar more dominant or submissive? Or does he likes to switch?

_{i’m gonna go and say that he likes to switch, but then again… sex rarely happens with him. it’s not that he can’t have it, but rather he just doesn’t really enjoy it. however, if he actually trusts the person he is with it’s still up in the air, but around 9/10 times he avoids the situation all together.}
