“an’ i have an answer,” he said, arms folding across his chest. “you just heard it.” true, he might have been far more than just slightly sarcastic, but at least he was being decent. so, that was a plus.

“i’m telling you the best option – an option that can save lives.” it was rare for him to even attempt being decent, but here he was… trying, and ultimately failing to do so. “take it or leave it- i’m done here.”

“for the moment.” his arms crossed over his chest as he took a step forward. “however, it’s doubtful you’ll be able to hold it for long.”

of course she saw a glimpse; not everything, but just a small taste of his true form. a very small flash; something that most people would have just thought as a hallucination or something akin to it. like a shadow out of the corner of someone’s eye, but this time around it was longer than just a few seconds, and now? he’d have to do some sort of clean up.
“language,” he said, making sure to say that before anything else. “do you kiss your mother with that mouth?”

“— are you done yet?” was he going to complain? no, not really, but it still was a little uncomfortable all the same.

“…..”

oh, he wasn’t happy – not one bit about this. of all the people who decided today was the greatest day to grab his tail… it just had to be thor. sure, ky was being obnoxious – poking thor with it repeatedly, but to grab it? it was just pain out right rude!
“let it go,” he said, almost to the point of snarling, “or i bite your hand off.”

“i wouldn’t call making sure everything is in place paranoid.” actually, he was far more than usual these days, but he wasn’t going to admit that. least of all to caleb. “i’d call it risk assessment. you might not like me caleb, but trust me…i’m doing what’s in my own best interest.”

“it’s called money,” he said bluntly. “almost everyone can be bought with it.” of course, that was already known, but he felt the need to say it anyways. “it’s nothing to get impressed with.”

“to be quite fair, this wasn’t my fault. if you want to blame anyone? blame the one’s who run around in uniform type suits. maybe then you’ll be able to find the one’s you want to take out your frustration on.”
