“nor do i doubt i’d be the last.” then again, ky didn’t even think it mattered. not truly at least. “i was simply stating the obvious.” at least from his point of view.

“nor do i doubt i’d be the last.” then again, ky didn’t even think it mattered. not truly at least. “i was simply stating the obvious.” at least from his point of view.

“an’ you know i don’t take threats well,” he said bluntly, hands slipping into his back pockets. “i’m going through with this deal an’ i can assure you… the chances of anyone stopping me is minimal at best.”

“life is pain,” he said bluntly. “once you learn to accept that fact… you learn to tone it out.”

it was funny that she thought of him like that.
they were not friends. ky didn’t even want to put a label on what they were, but he knew they were not that. he didn’t even know what the word meant in reality.
“oh, you thought we were friends? i must have missed the memo.” though, it was impossible to tell if he was serious or just sarcastic as the two seemed to blend in together.

“we all are – it’s just part of life.” ky wasn’t the best person to ask such questions to. nor did he feel like it was necessary to give an honest answer. no, all ky knew was that he didn’t have the answers, and quite honestly? he didn’t want to have them either.

“unfortunately for you, i don’t.” he could have gone on to say that – all – systems were corrupt, but he wasn’t about to waste his energy on something like that. no, all ky was going to do was state the obvious. then he’d move on from there. “the system will just make things ten times worse.” more so for ky’lar himself.

“as long as it takes.” he never chose a side; the only side that he had was his own. if he won, he’d make sure to take everyone out, but if he lost? well, he’d make sure it was costly for all sides. that was just the way he operated. “i suppose you object?”

“i wouldn’t be too sure ‘bout that.” ky should have learned to trust jess by now, but instead, he distrusted her more than usual. he could take care of himself – ky always had ( or so he ultimately believed ). “’sides, i have far more tricks up my sleeves than even you know about.”

“not much can do that these days,” he said, downing a bottle of whiskey ( his 5th one in the last thirty minutes ). “not even you.” that was what happened when ky got into one of his lower moods – alcohol had the wrong effect on him. when that happened, he had to deal with emotions that were close to a humans. it would get better once he sobered up, but instead, he kept drinking the bottles down as if they were water. “i’ll be fine.”

“i tore them apart.” it was more than that though; tearing apart would have been easy. no, ky did something far worse. he made sure to rip their skin off piece by piece. he made them truly suffer. that way… even in death they wouldn’t forget what they had done. “– they forced my hand.”
