hunters. he knew the both of them could handle themselves, but these were not the usual breed. no, these were different. dead set on getting the one person he trusted these days.
that wouldn’t stand. not at all, but even ky knew his limits, going up against a group wouldn’t earn him any favors. sure, he could take them out, but he’d be in worse condition than last time. so, that was out of the question. what they needed was a plan.
“ — any bright ideas? ” he asked, lips forming into a thin-line as his arms slid calmly behind his back. “ or is it the usual today? ”
getting out of there was the only option at this point. he needed to breathe. he needed to actually take a breath of fresh daylight air – something that he’d been lacking for several weeks. maybe that was why he’d been debating leaving – not forever -, but only for a few hours. just enough to actually stretch his legs properly, but it seemed vlad wasn’t about to have that.
a deep breath was taken in and then let out slowly. he needed to focus – to not let his anger get the best of him, but as with all other times it failed. his hands balled into fight fists as his heart rate sped up.
suffice to say, ky didn’t think leaving for a few hours – not even five – was a big deal, but apparently it was. so much so that a threat – or maybe it was a promise was issued towards that fact.
“you think you’re so cleve don’t you? attempting to order me around, but here’s the thing.” he took a step forward. “you won’t get the chance to really drag me back here.”
or rather, that was what he thought – a compromise was possible. even something he could do, but why? ky didn’t feel the need to. not now. so he’d push the other’s buttons just enough and try to pick up the pieces later. if he even got that chance
“five hours,” he said, tone falling flat as he spoke his next few words. “i’m sure you can handle yourself with-out me for that long, can’t you?”
no truer words had ever been spoken. people were like sheep; push them in the right direction – a little nudge here and there – and the’d think of you as a god. maybe in some ways, he had a respect for them, but in most ways… ky’lar did not. well, not anymore at least. “—- i don’t care.”
“—- or what?” a simple two worded question as his arms slid calmly behind his back. “as far as i know… you’re out of your element here and trust me… i’ll do whatever is needed for as long as i need it. your complaints will only lengthen your time here.”
“are you serious right now?” he knew they were on a time restraint, but that didn’t mean ky couldn’t have some sort of amusement. he didn’t like guns and doubted he ever would, but he had to admit that in a crunch they’d do the job… especially in times like this.he ran a hand over his face- weighing the options in his mind about what he should do. of course she was serious. why wouldn’t she be? still, that didn’t mean he couldn’t voice his slight disgust, but more of a keen disinterest towards having to end them before he had his -version of so called – fun. “killing them right away would be a mercy. something i don’t think they deserve.” bold words, but he wasn’t making the calls here – she was. something he’d have to get used to.
Was she really that sorry? Most likely not – no one truly was these days. He wasn’t, why should anyone else? He lost a fight and in turn almost his life. Ky’lar may have been foolish, but one moment he thought things were going well and the next he found himself slammed harshly against a wall. Once that happened, everything turned hazy, and he didn’t -or maybe he didn’t want to- remember much.
“Doubtful,” He said bluntly, hands slipping into his pockets. “Losing would have happened sooner or later.”
“first off; what is an edgelord? secondly, who is this warhead?” he started to ask another question and then he rubbed at his temples. “— you know what? i don’t want to know.”
“even with a plague, there would be some who were immune or simply survive it,” he said bluntly. “it would have to be something that changes from person to person. a strain that could wipe out an entire content in a short matter of time. something that will appear and then disappear before anyone will have time to react.”
Now, that was the question wasn’t it? Ky could have voiced quite a few answers as to why, but instead, he didn’t. No, he didn’t think it was necessary. Instead, he leaned his back against a wall, and smirked. “ You just can’t get enough of me. ”
