“Don’t bite me, that’s rude.”

rude was not being allowed to drink  beer all day. rude was being forced to stay inside as the weather was too bad. rude was being hunted  by some idiot who thought they killed their wife.

this wasn’t rude, ky just was in a playful mood -in his true form of course – and didn’t think he had to stop what he was doing.

“you like it,” he mused out  lowly, “you  really do.”

“Papa and Papa Jr are mean to me.”

it actually took him a while to realize just who she was talking about. the names were… known to him, but not really. so, it took him a few minutes for the gears in his tattered mind to start working properly. “they’re demons,” he said,  not even glancing up at her. “elder demons. what do you expect me to do about it?”

‘ you’ve got to rest. take it easy. ’

if he was being honest with himself, the doctor was right – he needed rest. his latest fight with his father resulted in…  several broken bones and more damage to his body he’d care to admit.
While he was hoping to get on even terms with his family… it didn’t exactly turn out as well as he’d thought. Things got heated and as usual… they fought. Ky just happened to be on the losing end this time around.
“i’ll be fine -i’ll heal.” though, the reality of the fact was he wouldn’t… not for a long time at least. “a few beers and i’ll be fine.”

“We’re doomed.”

always leave it to someone idiotic to state the obvious. though, doomed wasn’t exactly the best way to describe their little situation. ky could in theory get them out of it, but he chose not to. for one, it wasn’t worth it, and two?  he didn’t trust his companion enough to save them.

so, he’d keep his idea’s on how to get them out of this little situation to himself. just until the last moment or it was actually needed. deep down…  he hoped it wasn’t. “unless you’re going to complain about the situation that’s your fault? mind doing something or do i have to do all the work?”

“I’ve never done anything like this before. Have you ever done anything like this before?”

“It’s nothing more than a simple party for a few of the elite,” he said sharply. “I’ve done this at least a hundred times – maybe a bit more.” Ky had grown up with these parties; having to play the perfect Grandson while the adults did their deals in the dark.

Truthfully, he never thought he’d be falling back into these ‘old’ habits, but desperate times called for desperate measures. “There is nothing to worry about as long as you look the part.”

“You’re like a gargoyle up there.”

KNEELING that high above ground had become a new per-usual for the half-demon. His perch was something he was becoming accustomed to. More so than viewing the world either from far below or in an almost freezing apartment.

Still, that didn’t give the reason to why he was up there, but he’d have to explain himself soon enough. If.. he ever got around to it. “And you’re like an ant,” he said, not even bothering to pay real attention to Lucifer. “Shouldn’t you be out doing something… more important than bothering me?”
