Bringing the task he had in mind before Ky had not been his first choice. Were conditions more favourable, he would have handled the matter personally, leaving the rest of the world blind to his intentions.
But his obligations to Talon had recently gotten in the way of his own schemes. With hands tied, he didn’t see any point in risking the influence he had garnered within the organisation for the sake of chasing down a lead that was little more than a rumour. At least during this time.
So he turned to outsourcing for a solution.

Need you to track down a old friend, long thought dead and considered by most to be a ghost. Bought of these assumptions are false. She still lives – for now at least.

upon hearing the request, ky had half a mind to decline it — tracking people down wasn’t what he did. sure, if they were important, he may have attempted to track down someone once in a while, but doing it on the request of reaper? let’s just say that wasn’t exactly on his to-do-list.
“if you’re so sure about that,” he mused, “why haven’t you gone after her yourself?” maybe he should have chosen his words a bit more carefully, “or is it you think she’s hiding from you?” either way, it wouldn’t surprise him, but all the same, he was slightly curious, “or.. is it something else?”
