“ how gullible of you, you thought, ” as she expected with great sighs and eyerolls to boot, rae never slept on ky’lar to keep his promise. better yet, his control. she never needed to look away from him or lift her hands to burst a couple of fire hydrants nearby to put out the fires spreading about. she remains on him, disappointment is nonexistent, “ you need discipline, ” the amount of justice and mercy lowered itself, reaching the point of exception; the rare place where raven’s actions will no longer feel consequence and guilt. a hand raises as she says, digits spread and thick wires come at rapid speed to tie the demon all around, “ and you need to be put away. ”
it wasn’t the first time he managed to hear those words; nor would it be the last. discipline was the primary object he last. training was shortly behind that as well. he did as he wanted and more importantly, when he wanted. control was needed, but he rarely ever showed restraint. ky’lar was wild; an untamed beast of a sort who destroyed anyone or anything that managed to get in his path. “ i need you to stop getting involved.” harsh words escaped him, but only seconds before the wires started to wrap around his body. foolish, all he’d have to do to possibly escape them was shift into his true form. it wouldn’t have been hard at all and yet patience was in order for the moment. that way, he could avoid doing something too drastic. “ then maybe we can talk a about discipline next, but really? if you wanted to bind me… you should buy me dinner first.”
“wreaking havoc, again?” she sees fire, she hears the screams of others – a nightmare for some and a regular day of heroic action for her. ky’lar was a headache and a half; she has had enough of letting him slide. she shouldn’t have, as reigning queen, “ you’re starting to get on my nerves, ky’lar. ”
he gave a faint gesture towards the screams, and the fire. it didn’t take much for the demon to cause a little chaos. especially on a long night like this. “i thought you knew me by now – i always cause a little mass destruction when i get bored.” though, he wasn’t bored this time around – a mixture of slightly amused and restless was the best way to put it. “among other things… i thought you weren’t keeping tabs on me.”
“ right — family issues, i get that,” who doesn’t? ask any mortal being and the feeling is sure to live and breathe through each creature. raven was no stranger to such a strong emotion. however, the subject does not change – his motives are still unclear and too vague. she may have to dig a bit deeper, “ my place isn’t a hotel, sorry to inform you, ky. ”
“if it was a hotel room, i’d keep the place closer to freezing, an’ i wouldn’t have any clothes on.” the only reason he had anything on was due to common curtsy! well, that, and he always enjoyed the feel of leather for some reason. “either way? i’ll be out of your hair soon enough. i just need to find one of my spare key’s.” a key, to one of his storage containers, and maybe then he could try to figure out just how much time had past since he’d last been on earth.
“then what are you doing here?” banishment was not forever but having to escape, seemingly unscathed, brings to question as to what he was doing on earth – why in the empath’s way, the one person who can drag him back to his prison? she’s not buying whatever purpose he wishes to serve and she’s not afraid to stand up to him, prince or no prince.
“ well, at the risk of sounding exactly like my father? ” he couldn’t help the grin that slowly spread across his features. “ i like it here. ” it was more than a simple statement though. it was more of a declaration as to why he was here in all parts. “ ‘sides, with dear ol’ dad gone? it does seem like i’m – what’s the word they use these days? oh, yes.” a chuckle escaped his lips. “off the leash? isn’t that how they would put it… when dear o’l dad no longer has any say in what i do. not anymore.”
“ i thought you were dead – with your father? ” well, it’s not entirely surprising like it sounds in her voice. ky’lar was never a problem to begin with but if he persists, he just might be. the empath is always on her guard no matter how raw she may appear. etching closer with crossed limbs, she studied him carefully, “ hell wasn’t comfortable for you or you escaped? ” she doesn’t mean to jest but frankly, she curious to know why was he coming around her place.
“ let’s just say death doesn’t seem to agree with me. ” not even when he had been actively trying to achieve it. no, living seemed to be his fate – for now at least. still, he might have despised it at times, but it had it’s moments… more or less. “ as for hell, ” he said trailing off for a few moments. “ i’m not going back there .” he never would if he had a choice in the matter, but as with most things… he never did necessarily have a real choice. it was usually made for him one way or another.
