They’re rare.”  she replied with a slight roll of her eyes. A frown slowly spread across her lips as she listened to his request.  Why?”  That was the obvious question. Cassie tried to avoid situations like this. Once a soul crossed over, that was it for her. Otherwise, things could get messy.  And where would I be looking? Upstairs or down?

         “Sure they are,” he mused, a grin slowly pulling at his lips. “As for why,” he rubbed at his chin for a moment, “I’m sure I could give you quite a few reasons to that regard.” Most of them would be lies, but Ky never was one to admit the complete truth… unless it absolutely suited the situation. “They may know something about my past; i’ve searched hell top to bottom. They must be up above.”

          “Lucky you, I am in a good mood.  She’s currently flipping through a notepad filled with names and dates and other information for her reaps. Not the reason for her good mood, no that was because she actually got a full nights sleep. A rare occurrence.  There’s only so many reason someone would call a reaper for help. So, what do you need help with?

       “I didn’t know you had good moods,” he said, biting his lower lip for a moment. “I need you to track someone down; a soul. I just need to see where they’re at.” After that, he could go from there, but there was doubt that he’d even get the answer’s he needed or… that he’d actually enjoy what they were in the first place. “Then I can go from there.”

           You’ve reached Cassie’s soul removal services. How can I help you achieve your ultimate death?

    “When I called,” he said, making sure that he pressed the speaker phone option, “I hoped you’d be in a good mood – I need a little help and no, I don’t plan on dying anytime soon.”

          “Whatever, your loss. More for me.  She shrugged, crossing her arms.  You know, you take things very seriously. Anyone ever tell you that?

         “Anyone ever tell you that you should mind your own business?” Granted, he could have been much nicer, but that would have actually required effort. Something that he wasn’t willing to put forth at the moment. “ And so what? It’s not like i’m trying to spark the end days or something like that.”

          The reaper just rolled her eyes, a small amused smile on her face. Well, neither do I, but still enjoy it. You still can, right?

         “There is a difference between can and willing to,” he said pointedly. “I don’t need to eat and I avoid it when all possible.”

@hellfirebound   sc!

          The reaper was sitting hunched forward in her chair, elbow resting on the table in front of her, her chin in her hand.  Do you think any kids playing around with a ouija board have actually accidentally summoned a demon?”  She knew the stupid games kids played at slumber parties were mostly bullshit; but she couldn’t sleep the night before and ended up watching some ridiculous ghost hunting show. She figured, who better to ask?

          “i’d say whoever answers those calls has to be bored of of their mind.” or quite possibly… a lower-level demon trying to get their kicks with some sort of mild amusement. not that ky had ever done something like that, but then again, he saw it as below him. more so than a simple deal made just so a kid can have a date for a insignificant dance. “more or less.” he gave a shrug. “any self-respecting demon wouldn’t do shit like that.”

          Cassie nodded, letting out a soft hum.  Right. Well, I don’t really believe you, but lucky for you – I don’t really care either. At least, not about your moral stance.

           “morals can be constricting at times,” he stated bluntly. “then again, i don’t really care either. i do what’s needed and anything else is static.”
