“ …why would you kill your father?” perhaps she didn’t take very personal into mind but her softened words and posture spoke of curiosity and slight fear. a elder, powerful demon to kill is a much harder and longer process on a witch. if she was powerful enough, she could do it – she sincerely doubts that she is, “ sorry – don’t… forget i asked. ” she sighs in defeat; how would she even go about this stupid mess? “ i’m not sure if i can… it could take a long time to kill him… if he’s killable. ”
“take three guesses,” he said, not even bothering to account for the fact she said to forget that the question was asked. more importantly, ky didn’t think that the reasons behind it mattered. true, his father was protecting him, but he didn’t need that. more importantly, ky didn’t think he needed anyone. especially his father who was getting tired of ky’s own choice of amusement. “— an’ everything dies eventually. if you can’t find a way to kill him? find a way to bind him.” anything to to get blackheart out of his hair.
“ personal vendetta? you don’t make a lot of friends, do you? ” sabrina could huff and puff about him poking at her like she’s not going to curse him when he’s gone. aside her sweetness, she’s far more wicked than she likes to appear, “ what makes you think i can help? ” she bites back her urge to continue to quip.
“ i don’t need friends.” he could have said a few other things, but he was attempting to keep his lips sealed on that matter. well, more or less – friends were risks. even more than he’d admit. “ and i’m willing to give anything in return. ” after-all, getting rid of this pesky problem would be worth it… or so he thought. “ among other things… i think you can help as it’s a very personal matter. ” a pause. “ i’m going to kill my father. ”
“ and there’s no other witch you wanna talk to? just me? ” sabrina caught herself into a mess she couldn’t dig herself out of. unless she permanently casts him away, she won’t ever be able to get rid of him. this is why her aunts are always on her ass about her spells. gods dammit, “ you need to be specific. ”
“ oh, there are several. ” far more than just a few he could have gone to, but.. most wanted his head. “ however, i thought coming here would have been the best option. ” a pause. “ not to mention you’re cute. ” a slight grin pulled at his lips for a few moments.
“ as for specifics? ” he slipped his hands into his pockets. “ i’m looking to kill a demon. permanently. ” well, among other things… that was what he needed and why he was here.
“ if you touch them, i will kill you, ” that sharp edge in her voice brought out the bad witch underneath her softer exterior. let the craft be damned for she will certainly make it the worst encounter for ky’lar. slender, small digits curl into fists at her sides, sabrina was stepping up with a threat. a tightened jaw and shifted in sweet blues, she’s more anxious now that he’s around, “ what do you want? ”
“ stronger have tried. “ that was a fact he would stand by, but it was due to his family. with-out them, he wouldn’t be here, and as much as he hated them? well, he was alive due to them. so, he couldn’t be too disappointed about his situation. just mostly. “ as for what i want? ” he couldn’t help, but smirk. “ i need something. ” a pause. “ something very powerful.”
“come on, i didn’t ask you to show up this time,” the wicked little witch who prayed and pushed away all the big bad demons didn’t exactly do a good job, did she? that’s one more thing to beat herself up about, “ i don’t have anything of value, can’t you just… i don’t know, leave? my roommates will come back soon.”
“ I could, but where would the fun in that be? ” besides, it wasn’t like he was doing any real harm. well, not in his mind at least. “ i mean, i could stick around, cause some chaos, and maybe kill them. you don’t need roommates anyways.” least of all one’s that could possibly become bothersome. “ all you need is me. ”
“ what kind of information? ” zatanna was no fool; if she smelled anything like deception coming from him, she’ll zap him out of her place and make sure he never finds it again. there’s only so few wicked ones she trusts and not even they get to fly by her with a passive smile. gesturing to let him wander about her kitchen with her, she’s open to what he has to ask. unfortunately, it’s not out of her ordinary day.
“information on how to… permanently take care of someone.” he was going to say more, but knew that he had to keep his words short, and to the point. that way, maybe he could actually get what he wanted… not to mention not having to explain himself completely. “that’s it.”
“ y’know, had we met years ago, i would’ve banished you elsewhere within seconds of being in my presence, ”the strong distaste for demons and half-breeds alike has been embedded in her blood from generations in her family; a warning to their kin of the evil that follows. but upon better judgement, it’s best to keep the barrier thick and help from a distance than be upclose, “ and that something is what? maybe i might be able to help. ”
“ funny, ” he mused, “ if we met years ago, i would have more than likely used the door. ” or at least have called. then again, he didn’t think it actually mattered. well, not much at any-rate, “ either way? let’s just say i need information. once i get that…. as well as some food? i’ll be out of your hair. ” he wanted to say forever, but honestly… there was doubt that it would be that long before he found himself right back here…. or at least in the same situation.
“now, i know you didn’t pop up into my circle just to talk to me about what humans do, ” it is clear as day her detest for demons and how they cannot be trusted painted her expression a thousand and one times. even the faint smile on her lips spoke of a dangerous barrier if he dared to cross the witch, “ stalking me, ky’lar? ”
“ stalking you would mean that I had an interest in you beyond pure… business reasons. ” that much was stated as a simple fact, “ for the record, i just need to find something, and thought i would drop in.” it was more than that, but for now, he was going to keep things simple, “… if that’s a problem, i could leave, and track down someone else.” a pause, “i’m sure that someone would be willing to do what i want.”
“fortunately for you? i’m not most,” matter of fact, her type doesn’t have a single category; complex and unruled spells zatanna perfectly. majority of the community specialized in sorcery would be damned if that didn’t respect her craft, “ could be the looks — it’s definitely something humans would fall for. ”
“ they usually fall for anything that either looks attractive or can give them a good time. ” it was odd, especially coming for him, that people looked for a good time. he did often, but that was for his own personal reasons, “ sometimes it’s a mixture of both. ”
“what gave you the impression that i thought you were a good man? ” zatanna lightly questions as she’s got her attention on a bigger project.
“ most seem to assume that right away. ” of course, he could have gone into a debate if they were right or not, but he honestly wasn’t in the mood for that. well, not now at any-rate, “ must be the looks. ”
