“I thought you would have learned by now that it’s not
going to  stop me  from trying anyway  so I  guess we’re
both disappointed here. at this point being defiant was
all he really has left and the day that ends Ky won. he’d
rather see him dead before that happens. a collar? you
giving up on the chains finally? I wondered when you’d
    put those aside.

“who said i would ever put the chains aside?” he wanted to torment
the other, that was his amusement, and the day that caleb was no
longer defiant… would be the day that he would have the perfect
pet… or rather, toy. something for him to ‘play’ with to the point
where when he got tired of it completely? he would kill it… or in
caleb’s case, force him into the darkest pits of hell, and keep him
there. it would happen in time, he knew it would, and it was why he
was keeping that as his final play when everything got to be too
boring for him, “you earn them every day.”

it’s difficult not to grin in triumph, pleased that she’d made her
point. if everyone else is afraid of him then having one person
who isn’t was exactly what  he needed. that  person he can be
himself with, if he  chose to.  he’s not  wrong, though. plenty of
people would  annoy him  but they  wouldn’t  live  for very long
afterward and she can’t be killed. well I’ve been called worse
and the way I see it, by being a thorn in your side I’m doing you
a favor.

“—– what favor would that be?” honestly, he enjoyed getting
his way – most of the time – and doubted that it would ever
change. the moment he didn’t, was the moment he -usually- went
off on a rampage by destroying whatever he could get his hands
on, “I don’t need anyone looking after me.”

he’s quiet and it lasts longer than a minute. lets the words take root and settle somewhere inside of him, biting his tongue to keep from saying anything rash. he didn’t like being owned and he never had. even with the one who more or less raised him, he’d needed his freedom too much to let him call the shots. he’d fought for it in every way and it’s taught him not to let anyone break him yet that’s how Ky wanted him. broken and submissive. eager to please if it meant being out of the chains. I don’t have any guarantee that you won’t do it anyway if you get bored so all behaving does is delay the inevitable. maybe you should consider the fact I might already be broken and throwing me back there will save you the trouble of training me to be obedient.

training caleb to be obedient was taking time and that was the amusing part. to keep pushing until the other broke right into the way he wanted him to. it would be taxing, even taking longer than he would hope, but all the same, it was worth it. more to the point, he wouldn’t have had it any other way, but some days, the demon got bored. he wanted someone to do exactly what he said, and caleb never was going to give it to him. he was just starting to understand that, “if throwing you back there is what you want, then it seems you won’t be going back there anytime soon. not if that is what you crave.”

“Are you just going to leave me here?!” (from caleb)

if he was being completely honest, it wouldn’t be forever, but ky wanted to see how caleb would face this bit of ‘amusement’. not that it would kill him, ky knew full well of what caleb was capable of, but all the same, he wasn’t going to stick around to hear more complaints.

“you know, i tried to get you to like me, and i even thought putting a collar on you would make things easier. yet, here we are. you’re being left here to fight – and win – or be killed. either way is fine with me.” in truth, he wished caleb would actually die, that way, he would be rid of him, but at the same time… he lived to torment the other.

“It’s all your choice.” a pause, “ do make sure to chose wisely.”

“There was no other way.” (from ana)

he wanted to say that he was surprised by this; that she would
actually do something that would cause everything to fall down
around him. that she would actually do this, but he wasn’t. what
they had… it wasn’t anything that he wanted to admit and while it
was fun? everything had to end sometime. for them, it was now,
and he wasn’t willing to get himself crushed again. not after this,
not after he knew that this would be his last time on earth for a while.

“ you sure about that?” the question was asked through his anger
as he leaned back in the chair, “— the moment i get out of this…
i do hope you’re not around. ‘cause, if you are? you’ll be in
chains… forever.”

he could have  done without the  reminder  since he hated
being on his knees nearly as much as he hates the demon
himself. he was too defiant to let anyone tell him what to do,
especially if he doesn’t want to. he falls silent though, not in
the mood to argue any further. if he was quiet sometimes Ky
leaves him alone and he prefers that to having his attention
focused on him.

sometimes, but this wasn’t one of those times as ky decided that
tormenting the other was far more enjoyable than getting the other
to stop talking. that way, he could at least get some amusement out
of this. after-all, he was bored of this, and quite honestly… he was
getting bored of caleb as well, “see, you can listen… for once.”

“Who did this?” (ana)

it had been a fight with his father; asking for answers or
rather, demanding them rarely turned out well. even more
so for ky’lar, but he was at least attempting to understand
why he was alive. though, all he ended up with was a black
eye, several cuts on his face, and a few broken fingers.

given enough time, he would heal, but for the moment… it didn’t
exactly look like it, “my father… three guesses as to why.”
